WWE Legend passes at 58
Wrestling legend Paul Bearer, 58, otherwise known as William
Moody has passed. WWE revealed on its website that the former WWE manager had
died on Tuesday evening aged 58. Bearer was most notable for his managerial
role of The Undertaker. Bearer also managed Undertaker’s storyline brother Kane,
Vader, Rick Rude, Mankind as well as Kamala on independent circuits.
Debuting in 1991 with the Undertaker, Bearer and his
chilling sound, look and feel of angles formed many childhood memories for the
entire sports entertainment world. Moody left WWE in 2002 and has been a
recurring character numerous times years after.
Details of Bearer’s passing are unknown. He had suffered
gallbladder and weight problems for years. He had to cancel upcoming dates
after complaining of unwell feeling. WWE said of Moody “WWE is saddened to
learn of the passing of William Moody, aka Paul Bearer.” WWE confirmed it was
not a hoax in doing so, so quickly. They added “"Moody made his WWE debut
in 1991 as the manager of The Undertaker and went on to become a memorable part
of WWE over the course of the next 20 years. Our deepest condolences go out to
Moody’s family, friends and fans.” Bearer would have been 59 next month.
Wrestling Wonders wishes Moody and his family and friends
our deepest sympathies. Rest In Peace.
Expect an Obituary on Bearer next month.
