WWE Survivor Series 2015

WWE Survivor Series 2015

WWE presented one of its Big 4 Pay Per Views, the grand event that is Survivor Series. Would one of the most epic card events recently badly booked in previous years live up to such high expectations? The twenty-ninth PPV of its series came live on 23rd November 2015 from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. WWE will crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion tonight, since Seth Rollins vacated through injury three weeks ago.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, Semi-Final
Roman Reigns Vs Alberto Del Rio w/ Zeb Colter

It is fair to suggest Roman Reigns is not over. Booed on arrival and WWE’s chosen one, fans already knew the outcome and were not pleased with WWE’s strained way forward with the series on a three hour PPV. However, the racist ignorance of Alberto Del Rio drew silent crowds too. Not a very good start was it? WWE should have gone with Cesaro. Even motor scooter peddling xenophobe Zeb Colter cannot get empty vessel Alberto Del Rio over.

They sure dragged this tourney out, didn’t they? Why not just make a one on one? Simple. WWE’s choices presented were so ignorant and derogatory to main card entries like Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro and others that WWE dismissed such talents for its mid-level champs. Maybe this was WWE’s idea of protection. If so that was a loosely filled concept, but WWE did not do that. They knew what they were booking. WWE hoped to emphasize that its champs are earning their titles, which was GIVEN to every one of them, and none have made any interesting moments with them. The secondary titles and their bearers are redundant and uneventful. Fans have already left since their stars have been demoted. WWE are blissfully unaware and continue not to listen. Ratings are down.

The match was slow and boring with neither taking a real advantage. Roman showed off his slow power slam moves as Rio ran around a bit and did a foot stomp, here and there.

Triple H was seen looking on, as the one against Roman Reigns winning. Triple H, who gave his ignorant pals free spots tonight, was heavily booed. Will he ever learn?

Reigns roared and then went for a Spear as Del Rio cheaply countered for a close two fall. Reigns lifted Rio from the floor with another arm lift powerbomb for a close two fall yet Rio chose not to place his shoulder on the mat and instead on Roman’s chest in a poorly placed botch, which meant had Reigns won, it would have been illegitimate to the whole tournament. WWE don’t seem to worry about these things. Fans and critics do. It’s called wrestling, a worrying concept from a supposed wrestler in Rio who has done nothing of technical value on his unnecessary return to WWE one month ago after his prolonged racism and domestic abuse scandal which saw him fired previously.

Rio countered soon after with an armbar but Roman Reigns lifted him up again and then dumped Rio to the outside. This isn’t Royal Rumble yet. Roman Reigns smashed a spear on Alberto Del Rio after he got back in the ring to see Roman advance to the finals of his incoming WWE title win with a clean pinfall victory. Tonight was not Alberto’s “destiny” it would seem.

Up next was a backstage interview where Kevin Owens interrupted Roman Reigns with JayJay or whatever her name is. (JoJo.) In the interview, Owens, who has yet to wrestle in WWE or do anything respectful or impressive, tripped over all his words. Not even a promo could be uttered correctly. This is an option to be a world champion? Honestly? If you have to tell everyone you're back history three months after doing nothing and GIVEN everything by HHH on TV, you failed. Ignorance is no virtue. It will always go wrong for you.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, Semi-Final
Kevin Owens Vs Dean Ambrose

Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens, who has never wrestled once in his WWE call up and failed to be anything but a waste of space was GIVEN another freebie spot in this tournament. He is a friend of Triple H in real life, so there you have it. Disgraced ignorance of the highest order convoluting the product will only ever be bad for business. WWE will not grow this way. It still fails to listen. He still entered lazily to his fart sounding music, strolling down the ramp like an extra on-set.

As predicted, Ambrose led the match and quickly rolled Kevin Owens onto the ground in a headlock to cover his inadequacies. Literally one minute in and Owens is staying still on the spot unable to wrestle. Value for money, right there. Ambrose flung Owens over with arm drags and roll ups as Owens stood still and rolled around the floor. When will he wrestle? Who knows, probably never, but keep dreaming.

Ambrose put in more technical and rigorous efforts to help the match and Owens was flung to the outside once again doing nothing. Owens got a moment and comically rolled himself into Ambrose as a bowling ball with legs that was worthy of kindergarten forward rolling. It did not scream professional wrestling under any context. Ambrose walked into an Owens backbreaker as Owens stood on the spot and yelled to the crowd. This isn’t the indies, sadsack. No-one responded, anyway.

Owens pathetically picked up Ambrose and pulled him an inch toward him to stand on the spot clothesline him in a disgraced, sloppy exchange. The pair were soon both down on the floor until they both got up at a count of six so Owens could get some breathing space for the next run through. Lethargic Owens, who stood on the spot, waited for Ambrose to run to him and knock him at the ropes for a beat down. Ambrose got back into it with an elbow drop at two.

The pair traded minor blows at the top turnbuckle as Ambrose lifted a supposed “stunned” Owens after a quick hit from Ambrose. Owens then grabbed Ambrose to drop him down after Ambrose did all the work. It was the laziest and most disgraced display of a ‘match’ to the lockeroom, sport and opponent. Hey, he is Triple H’s friend. Triple H is running WWE.

Owens caught another opportunity and used the outside table to smash Ambrose. Dean Ambrose does everything for Kevin Owens as he finally gets his earned reward and smashes Owens with the Dirty Deeds for a three fall victory, torn strapped vest and all. Ambrose’s technique was absolutely fantastic in this turnaround from stereotyped lunatic and proved a real opportunity to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, after months of stalling doubt.

Traditional Survivor Series, 5 on 5 Tag Team, Elimination
Ryback, Sin Cara, Kalisto, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso Vs Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods, Wade Barrett and Sheamus

Not even Xavier Woods talking as the entries walked down the ramp slow and uselessly could elevate this mess. 5 on 5 match with a bunch of jobbers. Why even bother WWE? Not even serious are you? How do you expect fans to swallow this?

How Sheamus is supposed to be a WWE champ in waiting as this complete embarrassment is plain ridiculous. It certainly attempted to fill the time on a spot where this match was only just thrown together. Fans should ask for a refund. WWE should have known better. Lazy booking. It was no level a traditional Survivor’s match. It wasn’t even announced or who would be in it until the PPV happened.

It was so boring it was like looking at the screen in a numbed state of inconsequential disbelief. It was a mess, especially when they did the whole, high flying take everyone down, moment. Your future World champion, some bloke with the job squad looking like a lost puppy.

Sheamus against Ryback and an Uso with the ignorant grubby midget of the highest order Kalisto, who has been less than impressive in this tournament and given freebies by Triple H, it came down to. It does not make WWE clever or intuitive with its idiotic programming choices. Can anyone ever believe this small piece of ignorance will win big, at all?

It fell back into boring soon after trying to make it appealing when Sheamus and Ryback. Is there any real point to this match? Everyone was sad, useless and forgettable.

Jey Uso superkicks Sheamus as Kalisto gets a cheap shot in and Ryback picks up the three fall victory in the most underwhelming and pointless match ever. Next.

WWE Divas Championship
Charlotte (c) Vs Paige

After using her father to become champion and a useless, washed up nobody famous for her daddy, Charlotte tried for one week to avoid his shadow. Then she did the most disgraced act ever. She used her dead brother Reid Flair with Paige to get some cheap heat, which still lost any respect at getting over. Charlotte okayed the angle. WWE audiences found it utterly disgusting and could not compliment Charlotte whatsoever for using such cheap tactics to get over. She could easily have said no when WWE approached her on the idea.

What desperate woman uses her dead brother for cheap heat to get over after being famous by daddy? Paige also utter an disgrace in not only being booked, completely sloppy and nasty but delivering those rotten lines.

"Woo..."
Once more Charlotte came out to her daddy’s remixed music and virtually no sound of reaction from the crowd. You could literally hear a pin drop.

Lillian Garcia had to announce them separately and the crowd booed the pair of them. WWE wanted its own version of personal projects from Triple H to succeed. Fans disagreed. Triple H continues to dismiss and void advice. His ego is ripping the product, fans and stars to shreds.

The pair rolled around the floor in back arm holds instantly which was plain sad. Paige tied her legs around the ropes to break free. Paige nonsensically screamed next which had no effect or necessity. She dumped Charlotte outside with a cheap moment. Paige held Charlotte in a no pain stretch and yelled for three minutes. It was stupid, sad and no level a “Diva’s Revolution” which Max Waltham started. Charlotte did some chops as a handful of fans “Woo!”’ed to get through the sheer boredom of the match.

Charlotte put on Ric Flair’s Figure Four Leg Lock times two which went on too long and was too screamy. During her pain Paige pulled her hand up from in hold to brush her hair. Talk about breaking kayfabe. Complete flunkie. The pair ended up outside and hurt. Charlotte hollered something inaudible. It didn’t get over. The unflattering stockade that is Charlotte slowed walked around Paige in the ring and Ric Flair was mentioned to the hilt on commentary. Charlotte made some silly moves to try and carry the time. It was the worst divas match for quite some time, and that says a lot.

Charlotte got up and stood there waiting with a scrunched up face and too much blotchy make up, too.

Paige slammed her into the post. She didn’t have the Max Factor. Or that new range of Total Divas lipstick. No, seriously WWE launched that for real.

Bring back Harvey Whippleman or Santina Marella!

One hilarious moment was the sweetie referee, Rod Zapata, advising Paige “you aren’t going to win the title out there.”

Paige kept rolling to the outside as the ref was the only good thing keeping this match together.

Paige stood on the corner outside by the fans and raised her arms three times too long as Charlotte got up and pushed her off, mimicking a spear. It was a lost moment.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” “Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohh!” “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!”

Beyond their crazed sex noises and loose action Charlotte soon tapped Paige out to retain the title in the most uneventful match of both their careers and WWE’s grand attempt at Women’s Wrestling. WWE have no clue. It was the poorest it could have ever been.

Tyler Breeze w/ Summer Rae Vs Dolph Zigger

With Selfie Shtick.
Wait, that's Dolph, right?
It was a weak entrance on Breeze’s first debut on PPV. Many are expecting something more from him. The match was boring and had Ziggler mock Prince Pretty sitting in the ropes. Summer Rae screamed as she was in the way but Ziggs left her be as Breeze got the advantage over Ziggler instead.

Reversal roll ups galore did not enhance the battle. Some may argue it was too little time. This however was adequate time for this moment and with what they had, the pair were somewhat off. They tried, but it was quite frankly, forgettable and it did not interest. Tyler Breeze deservedly got the win over a drop of Dolph Ziggler, but was quite lame. Summer Rae looked lost out there. He would have been better in the 5 on 5 match with serious challengers, not the job squad. A win or a loss would have helped him either way.

Ziggler’s shifted gimmick to Tyler Breeze while Dolph tries to be more of a wrestling jobber is not helpful for anyone. WWE don’t know how to handle it yet so just milk the process ‘til a feud peters out. That’s half of WWE’s problems. It has no-one in creative bold enough or, erm, creative to think up fresh things everytime. There is one who can, but WWE are quite stubborn to call. Ratings are down, and likely to dip further in time.

Tag Team
The Undertaker and Kane Vs Bray Wyatt and Braun Stowman w/ Luke Harper and Erick Rowan

Originally proposed as a four man elimination with Ambrose and Reigns, changes were made to the main event since Rollins’ unfortunate injury. A tag match seemed very poor to change to fans, as well as unfair. However, a tag it will be.

The Brothers of Destruction have reunited to stop the Wyatt Family, who have had lacking presence and promos in WWE singularly and together.

The Undertaker had all the fitting 25 year ceremony respect.

To begin, Erick Rowan foolish charged in, met by a double boot and Choskelsam. He was never going to be involved so had to do something.

After initially suggesting on Raw that it would be Bray and Strowman, (which Bray said in a promo) WWE teased its choices. It was Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. Strowman hasn’t had enough in ring experience yet, you see, but would have been the better choice, no doubt.
It was a compact and fine match with Kane and The Undertaker providing real skills and style to tie the match together well. A feat so often forgotten or not implemented by today’s WWE guys.

Sister Abigail on Kane was missed with a great reversal to set Bray Wyatt free. Both reached tags at a needed point of change and the pace picked up by Undertaker with a perfect DDT. A two fall was sought. Double Chokeslam missed as Strowman tried to double dip the pair out. Strowman payed for his illustrious efforts and received a slamming double Chokeslam through the spare announce table outside.

Luke Harper followed up a good superkick. Sister Abigail was dropped on the Undertaker, giving Wyatt a chance to capitalise.  Only a two fall occurred. Both were down as the Wyatt pair attempted their next beat down. Bray Watt gathered his strength as The Undertaker and Kane raised up together as Bray was in the crazy crab, locking eyes with The Phenom, causing concern. He and Luke Harper received two powerful double Chokeslams in a perfect victory to celebrate The Undertaker’s 25 years, alongside brother Kane. ‘Taker nailed the classic Tombstone Piledriver on Harper to secure the three fall victory.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Final
WWE Championship
Dean Ambrose Vs Roman Reigns

It’s a straight up fight for the pair classing themselves as brothers but not actually so. They could have made this match to begin with instead of on the card throughout the night, to get lots of hype. Dean Ambrose has gone shirtless for this one!

Reigns looks strong with his fling of Ambrose at the start as Ambrose comes back with tough jabs. Reigns was booed on knockdown of Ambrose. Ambrose sends them both outside as the sexy t*tty monster jiggles those pecs while slammed into the barricade.

Ambrose gets the advantage in the ring with arm wrenches over Roman effectively. The pair look equal in standing which is proven by the bond of the pair at working well together than thrown together matches making no value. Close sit down powerbombs from Reigns added better dimension. Ambrose flipped Reigns with a turnbuckle powerbomb which saw Ambrose’s arms leave as Reigns fell but it looked better that way. Bill it as a fall away powerbomb. It works for Ambrose.

DA BOOBS!
Dirty Deeds and a passionately clever pin rocking Reigns’ leg like a guitar drew a close two fall for Ambrose. The pair stirred to the mat with fierce blows to one another in their passionate test for the title. Roman Reigns speared Dean Ambrose from a running attempt as Roman Reigns wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. That felt a little anti-climactic but nevertheless bearable.  In all his flaws, his crowning glory was a match that had a worthy win to validate his place and Reigns finally earned his title win.

Dean Ambrose congratulated his bro after their tense title tryst. WWE let off the confetti for the new champion, which was notably overdone by WWE fans. WWE did this on purpose, if you were still unsure why.

As expected, with almost twenty minutes on the clock, Triple H arrives clapping for Roman Reigns. At least they let him have a few minutes holding it. Seven forty-two, some say but is actually 5 minutes and 15 seconds to be exact. Reigns walked away from a handshake of Triple H and speared him instead to unexpected cheer. OMG!!!!!! Sheamus just attacked Reigns and covered him while cashing in the Money in the Bank title opportunity briefcase!

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Sheamus Vs Roman Reigns (c)

The boobs :(
Sheamus beats Roman a little with a cover but Roman Reigns kicks out early, to keep some suspense. Sheamus nails the Brogue Kick to defeat Roman Reigns and become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion in short succession to end Roman’s recent landmark victory.

Expected and LMFAO! That is how to ruin a PPV, especially when you finally earn it and prove the audience wrong. WWE has entered the Dixie Carter land of TNA booking.

Triple H just cannot separate his ego from the product. His friend won. Sheamus is definitely going to boost the ratings.

WWE just gave up on Roman Reigns for Sheamus. What a way to make a new star, just as he finally got over.

PPV Rating – 2/10

Men/Women of the matches – Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Kofi Kingston, Reid Flair (Both divas were completely inconsistent), Dolph Ziggler, The Undertaker, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns

Man/Woman of the night – The Undertaker

WWE carried its tournament for the title on way too long and did not need semi-final matches on the card. It should have had the courage and the strength to take a real approach and put forth a one on one Ambrose/Reigns lengthy challenge. This way both could succeed and be respected. The pair were in their collision where Reigns beat Ambrose for the WWE title. This was both their finest work. Ambrose changed his stereotype and Reigns finally earned his place as a champion at the top in that moment. Even if he needs work, tonight’s PPV validated him. WWE’s response after building him up was? To drop him to Sheamus of all people. What a bust. Reigns will now need a lot of working up again. Though if it had been Ambrose becoming a transitional champion, he would never have recovered from that. Reigns has been set back at least three to six months as way of this PPV decision.

Sheamus was the chosen MITB choice last year and WWE were going to run with him over Seth Rollins but Sheamus got injured. The tide has changed and with Rollins’ injury, Sheamus got his favoured chance. WWE should have dropped this but they seem adamant to run with this pathetic story that has no interest, regardless of Sheamus’ look. Fans will never accept him as anything other than an in-ring liability that could harm others and never be any good as a champion. It makes WWE look infantile and complete rubbish at presenting entertaining angles in a professional sport. This was also a guy who could not survive a basic match with three to five jobbers. Ridiculous.

WWE fans quietly want a refund. They felt the show was full of false advertising with Sheamus, especially as commentary announced “Either Dean Ambrose or Roman Reigns will be the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion tonight” WWE covered themselves by making Reigns its transitional champion. Fans however felt conned beyond making business decisions for entertainment values. Once again, WWE has disrespected its paying fans and they are getting fed up. You’re supposed to send the fans home (moderately) happy.

Kofi Kingston was the only workhorse in the jobbers 5 on 5 match but was lost in the shuffle just like everyone else.

The ignorant no hopers in Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio continue to be given all favouritism by Triple H and WWE. The pair are useless, have done nothing since their returns to main stream television and can never excel greatness at all. Both are lazy and disgraced. The pair need demoting, firing and the titles need real holders that fans can get behind. The pair are Triple H’s favourites which reeks of his over-stenched ego stinking out the WWE. A deep cleanse of WWE NXTNA needs serious thought behind it. WWE’s ratings are set to nosedive further.

The Undertaker was the man and deserved his respected 25 year celebration. No-one in today’s business has the respect, values or understands what is best for business, even if it has been turned into someone’s cheap catchphrase. The Phenom held together another intricate, classy and contained victory. Everyone else played their parts well and was one of the best matches of the night, with the title tournament final.

Tyler Breeze needed the win tonight on his PPV debut, but was not a showstopper by any standards. It was forgettable, even though they tried to make it wholesome. Ziggler and Rae were standard too but it was empty and had nothing to it. A wasted opportunity which would have been far better if they were in the 5 on 5 match.

The 5 on 5 match should have had Cesaro, (though he should have been in the title hunt) Curtis Axel, Breeze, Rusev and Big Show against Ziggler, The Uso’s, Neville and an NXT call up. (One that isn’t ignorant and capable.)

The divas were the worst in its entirety. The feeling and use of a dead sibling and disgraced botch fest pair did not encourage any thrill. The wrong divas were chosen and the fans knew it, though WWE didn’t. They knew but they forced their own opinion down fans throats. Fans have left after realising their gals will not be put up there. Naomi, Tamina and Sasha Banks along with Becky Lynch and maybe a Bella or Alicia Fox would have been much better and felt fresher. WWE continue to fail the divas, the fans and anything else on WWE TV. It was not good enough at all. It remains an empty hole that fails to listen to what is needed to show off with WWE favourites that fail to achieve and are too green to enhance the division, titles or its product.  At this rate, it will never be respected. WWE have put women back a number of years.

Some say it may be the crowd's fault. How dare they. This crowd was a passionate and respectful crowd that understood wrestling and wasn't prepared to holler at WWE's mismanaged PPV. Plus they spent money to be there and had a poor PPV presented to them. This had nothing to do with the crowd and was WWE's fault. Not everyone screams at anything that's thrown at them to have an 'experience' which makes them look entirely foolish.

For all its attempts Survivor Series’ booking put itself back another couple of years. No-one excelled, all were forgettable and noting was truly memorable for the ages. The Undertaker was the greatest WWE have and proved it tonight. Though WWE continue to fail the product, its fans and never make new stars. This has been almost a decade long now. Cena, Orton, ‘Taker and the main stays are leaving, one way or another. WWE still has no-one to fill that void. Its random choices of one in the back that has tense outlook to fans does not enhance it further. WWE is sullying its own future. All for what? Triple H’s ego on personal favourites to show off and be nasty? That egotistical arrogance is not ‘Best for Business’ at all. Currently it looks like a new version of TNA booking. The start of everyone’s downfall. Lose the personal attitude and make the business. Be bold and make brave choices. Where was the Vince McMahon that used to make the show what it needed to be than some random hoopla that can never materialise? Hire those that which you need. Lose the ego, build the business. Do not hire ignorance. Do research. Listen. Use the brain. Fail the fans, fail the business. No amount of money will save anyone.

WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan has NOT been stripped of the title

Heavyweight champion keeps world title
instead of building new age further

After this Monday's Raw, Daniel Bryan, who was requested to surrender the WWE World Heavyweight title by Stephanie McMahon the previous week in London, UK, said he would not relinquish the championship.

Upset with the decision, Stephanie McMahon informed champ Bryan, who had surgery on his injury initially putting him back one-two months on television as champion, had another bout of information. She explained to Daniel that his wife Brie Bella placed her hands on Stephanie two weeks ago and unless Bryan returns the WWE title, Brie will be fired, instead.

WWE are continuing to strain the story out over a matter of weeks, with Payback being this Sunday.

Simply put, WWE should have stripped Bryan after a week, built huge heat and kept his contention with feuds strong. This would have maintained the title prestige, raise a new challenger and contained Bryan's return as challenger to the world title. Once again, WWE took too long to act and unsure of the situation, fell back into comfort. They could easily have placed everyone on double duty at the end of the PPV in a match for the gold. The obvious Battle Royal would be bad, however, because WWE always book it a certain, simply way which they knew would be rubbish.

Instead WWE could have added a select batch of stars. Or they could have placed a select handful of stars in a bigger, planned match. They could have pulled Antonio Cesaro from the United States battle while adding Alberto Del Rio, Christian, Big Show, Mark Henry, Brodus Clay, Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow and Kane. Though WWE view none of them as good enough as a strong champ and would select the likes of Big Show or Henry, who can be involved but should not win. Their time has passed as a champion that can be respected. Clay could be built as a strong contender if WWE bothered and keep Christian floating around as contender. Sandow and Axel could prove themselves to WWE once again and the audience by driving a harder attempt and clawing back credibility. The rest are self explanatory.

WWE are said to be planning to hoist the World title above the Money in the Bank match as the main prize instead of a contending championship at the upcoming themed pay per view. This, on WWE's part would be ridiculous. While it is a good idea initially, the reason due to the fact that MITB needs to create a title challenger makes it counter-productive. While WWE once again, always book it obvious and halfheartedly in its after plans, WWE need to use this PPV to launch a new contender and remain faithful to their booking. WWE plan on a name like John Cena or Randy Orton winning again, to which the WWE Universe are fed up with, despite Orton being a credible choice in light of John Cena's favouritism with the title.

On the post Raw show in further developments, Raw General Manager Brad Maddox was randomly fired by The Authority for allowing Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns on commentary last week in a match between Batista and Seth Rollins. Evolution leader Triple H and Randy Orton were 'allowed' to install themselves at ringside, like the 2003 Goldberg disaster angle years ago.

Fans believe the WWE are attempting to place lukewarm veteran Sting as the Raw GM over time. Sting, 55, who has never made a WWE debut, is seeking strong options to seem relevant to a younger WWE audience, many believe will be a waste of time.

Daniel Bryan suffers legitimate neck injury. Out 1-2 months.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion suffers real
neck injury. Should he be stripped of title?

After last week's Raw on May 5th Daniel Bryan was revealed to have suffered a neck injury. This one is legitimate and sees Bryan requiring surgery which he will have this week. He revealed this on the past Monday Raw.

Bryan is expected to retain the WWE World heavyweight championship in the meantime. After all the start/stop storylines of last year, once Bryan gained the title he now suffers a debilitating injury instead. Karma is a funny thing. When the air is unsettled, something has to give.

Bryan is expected to return at the Money in the Bank PPV at the earliest. Bryan's injury will sideline him for at least one to two months.

It is extremely unfortunate this has happened to Bryan. In order to prove himself to the doubting WWE he is capable enough to be its World champ, he risks his body everytime. High spots and fast paced action have affected Bryan's structure, literally. Bryan needs to calm down and respect his body. WWE need to give him faith and ask less extremes of him.

As for the title itself, in our professional opinon, Bryan should be stripped. The reason WWE hate to do this is because after all the build up, Bryan losing titles all the time he gets them, and losing credibility (no thanks to WWE booking) Danny Boy would lose audience interest.

WWE need to strip the title as two months is too long to have its main title absent. This is the unfortunate nature of the business but when it happens a business decision like this must be done. WWE can return Bryan after rest to regain the quest to become champion and still have his YES! Movement highly supporting him. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

This opens the door for a new champion to grow, or even an old one to hold it. WWE could have re-established the faith to Del Rio and put the title on him to stop him retiring and losing his star quality as he is now. Or WWE could have the cajones to boost Damien Sandow in a shock re-style. This would make him regrown, if WWE were serious not to drop him for Waltham mockery. Bray Wyatt is of course the other obvious Waltham-esq choice.

WWE could even put it back on money maker John Cena then dump him two months later and bost its cash revenues. Then there is the hovering Waltham ideal of Antonio Cesaro. Though WWE dislike all these choices because, they were, well, made by c'est moi. WWE could also hire Max Waltham and stick the title on him if they so choosed. It would get everyone talking, that's for sure.

Regardless, WWE should have stripped and replaced Bryan with someone, preferable a newbie. This would boost them up and give motion to the audience a new change is happening. Or whoever gets the title from Bryan's departure could be a mega heat machine. As a business choice, it is ridiculous to have a non heavyweight champion in the mix at this time.

We like Bryan and think he is a perfect fit for WWE now, but this cannot change the business aspect of decisions. Bryan tries his best but by trying to raise him above B+ player, WWE have accidental made this his glass ceiling. Leaving would give Bryan more time to grow as a star and upon re-integration with fans to 'reclaim' his title in a short re-launch. It would also open up a new feud, too. There are more options for Bryan to grow than be stale with this choice than be absent and lose all momentum as champion. Plus no-one will watch when Bryan isn't there and a title in limbo.

When WWE finally attempt for a future, the whole foundation around its tentative building of such, is about to crumble.

CM Punk quits WWE

Longest reigning WWE champion of
21st wrestling generation walks out

Former WWE champion CM Punk has legitimately walked out on WWE. The decision came after the result of this past Sunday's Royal Rumble event. Punk, who entered as number one to safeguard an eventual loss, told WWE Chairman Vince McMahon he was "going home" before leaving to hometown Chicago. Punk was said to be frustrated with old timers gaining favourable pushes to the top while full time workers were left to wait in the wings after their hard work was unacknowledged.

After losing the Royal Rumble to a returning Batista, this was said to be the final straw for Punk. He had reportedly encountered numerous run ins with management previously. Punk broke the news he was heading home before the post-Rumble Raw was scheduled to broadcast earlier that day.

The decision will be fresh in wrestling insider minds which mimics the actions of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. Austin had walked out three times in the past, once directly after Wrestlemania and the post-Raw's also. Though Austin had some fan support, he was still an ungrateful talent that failed to respect the business and has never recovered since. Punk, however has received a mixed reception. Though others support, some are disappointed with Punk's behaviour. Punk has been since pulled from all upcoming events with his contract up for renewal in July.

Punk was due to be scheduled into a battle with The Authority, taking on Triple H at Wrestlemania XXX on April 6th. Punk and Triple H have had numerous battles over the past two years that have been uneventful in places remaining fresh in viewers' minds.

Naturally some fans believed it may be staged to gather attention, though WWE never stage this level of detail. This is legitimate. WWE instantly unfollowed Punk on Twitter, too. One thing is certain, Vince McMahon will not allow anyone to willingly "pick up their ball and go home" without any consequences, regardless of how one man feels. McMahon will be seething and may want to give some retribution to Punk.

Punk had considered retirement for some time and had spoken of doing so within a couple of years, as has Alberto Del Rio previously.

Punk added "everything is up in the air" backstage and has sparked fears he may be burned out. He has also been banged up with nagging injury pains requiring surgery for months.

So what does this all mean?

If Punk honestly believed on any level he should win the Rumble, to which he has stated years ago he has never won and would like to, that would be ludicrous. Punk was not in contention for this year's Rumble even if Roman Reigns and Batista weren't scheduled to win. Battling injuries, back to back losing streaks and decreased card value, anyone can see why Punk is frustrated with any real lack of direction. However, it is a cardinal sin in the wrestling business to walk out on the situation in this context. It may be difficult to reach McMahon directly, but Punk should have attempted to speak with McMahon directly regarding his concerns than drop a quick 'bye' on him. It is not the best way to conduct oneself without repercussions. Perhaps Punk felt he has nothing to lose. When you do feel this way, it is easier to express yourself, however needs to be done in a professional manner. No one man is bigger than any company. Punk should take some time out to rest and recoup and hope WWE may be open to conversation in time.

Punk should remember though, he himself had to negotiate two years ago with McMahon to get a higher push which saw him become WWE champ for the longest time for this generation in the business. Batista's return may be negotiated for Wrestlemania, but with no real plans outlined, WWE need to stabilise its card. The only problem is it may not be as celebratory as anticipated as previous 'Mania matches have dipped in credibility. Punk was not happy to lose the title either at last year's Royal Rumble to The Rock, which many backstage people add Punk was listening to the John Cena aspect of Rock hatred, where Rock is a legitimate and deserved in his own right booking.

Recent returns include Batista, The Ultimate Warrior and the upcoming Old Schooler Hulk Hogan.

Legend and 'Ambassador' to WWE, Mick Foley acted out by throwing a brick through and destroying  his television because Daniel Bryan was not in the main event of the Rumble and win. He tweeted he was "disgusted" with WWE. Bryan is now front runner for a Triple H showdown match for ''Mania.

WWE have since been attempting to re-focus attention on 'big guys' meeting the requirements of big muscles and over six foot. With its roster of John Cena, Sheamus, Big Show, Mark Henry and Ryback being let downs, WWE has had to re-recruit some reliable names. Batista, The Rock and Brock Lesnar are three that have always been guys that can hold decent matches in the ring, regardless of whether they are liked as a rehire by fans. WWE feels it needs this level of contrast to create further feuds.

One thing this has done is express to WWE that it needs to listen, even if it doesn't accept Punk's critique that the product and backstage politics are affecting the company and the business order. Something has got to give following this impasse of conflicting ideals. Though if Punk honestly believes the likes of Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz are going to be stars in today's age then that is simply preposterous. All those acts have dipped on their own merits. Sometimes, stars must accept they have been given enough opportunities and dropped their ball. On this occasion, with Punk taking his ball and going home, this will be seen as a big diss to the audience, who invest time and effort to see him on shows. We aren't without sympathy for Punk, either. It is difficult to express such point without an ear on board, but this level of action is not acceptable under any circumstance and could have been conducted better. Punk could always come and sign with us if he wants. :) If we were there, we'd give you a big ol' hug and say nothing for ten minutes. Or come to London and we'll go for dinner. But don't join any wrestling companies there, either. Take a breather, get some clarity (on both sides) and then open talks again, should all parties be open to discussion. And don't do anything stupid. X

WWE TLC 2013

WWE TLC 2013

Live on pay per view on Sunday 15th December 2013 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. TLC opened its doors with principal owners Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Recovering from her knockdown by Randy Orton in a scuffle on the pre-Raw leading to TLC, Stephanie vowed to crown the new WWE World heavyweight champion. One champion will be crowned as undisputed and unified she informs. Many still wonder by the lack of WWE hype and authenticity as to whether a new champion will indeed be crowned or not.

3 on 1 Handicap
CM Punk Vs Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns

Beginning the show saw CM Punk battle all three members of The Shield. Before the lock up with Ambrose and Punk the announce both explained The Authority of Tripper and Steph may be watching with interest. They also explained Chairman Mr. McMahon had arrived during the pre-show, where Fandango defeated Dolph Ziggler with ease.

Seth Rollins was tagged in after Ambrose and had little cat and mouse play as Punk went outside then back inside the ring as Rollins followed. Punk then held control over Rollins in the ring with turnbuckle action and neckbreakers. The one to watch Roman Reigns entered to anticipation from fans and WWE backstage. Reigns was allowed to use strength to force Punk back into the corner of The Shield.

Reigns knocked Punk down with a fist as Rollins returned to work Punk back up. Ambrose was given another short, swift tag, keeping fresh team work. Ambrose added some grounding work and foot stomps. Reigns re-enters and walks Punk into a standing clothesline as one chant faintly heard yelling "this is boring" exemplified the start of PPV. Punk was hurled outside later. Reigns was heavily booed soon after. Roman ran at Punk who missed a spear and flung over the announce table with a hand from Punk. Reigns wouldn't allow for a count out, as Punk attacks Reigns' vision. Roman then shoved Punk over the top and regrouped in his corner. Rollins brought Punk back in as the legal man. An Ambrose distraction caused a hard dropkick from Rollins to Punk. Reigns was being attended to as the focal point as Rollins was knocked into Ambrose for Punk to knock a hard knee and close two fall.

Punk and Rollins had a swift flurry of exchanges as Punk charged the running knee. Punk took to the air with the cross body into a two count. Rollins soon became quickly trapped into an Anaconda Vise as Ambrose breaks the submission and tags in. Ambrose attempts a turnbuckle suplex knocked down by CM. Atop the post Punk rises and hits the flying elbow as Rollins on the apron is knocked down. Punk then held a close two fall again. Ambrose avoided a GTS as Seth Rollins got one instead. Reigns then inadvertently speared Ambrose allowing CM Punk to GTS and pin Dean Ambrose for the three fall victory in a pleasing starter for PPV that wasn't too little nor too much.

Natalya lookalike Renee Young interviewed AJ with Tamina. AJ proclaimed she was the only one in this division that mattered. The fans, the divas and Total Divas were "jokes." Tonight AJ was going to be "the only one laughing" she finished.

Unified Women's championship
Natalya Vs AJ (c) w/ Tamina

In the guise of the Diva's title, Natalya's first real title opportunity since holding it in 2010 was on the table. Natie gets a quick roll over. AJ slams a hard boot to Nat's gut. Suplex from Nattie. Nattie calls AJ "crazy" whilst working her over with mat work. AJ was soon smashed into the guardrail outside. Tamina stares down Nat as she re-enters with distraction allowing AJ to kick Natalya down.

AJ got the legs up to regain control in turnbuckle as match spot calling was heard. AJ then locked in her Black Widow submission. Natalya powered out as AJ rolled through to get kicked in the face by uncle Bret's niece. Natalya screams before suplex and slamming AJ down.

AJ became trapped into Bret Hart's submission leg lock. AJ couldn't reach the ropes and instead reversed out of nowhere in a chance happening. Tamina stood on the apron to cause problems as Natalya botched a clothesline with no connection. After AJ failed to capitalise, Natalya regained control and tried a second leg lock to be rolled up by AJ with a small package in a humilaiting pin beating Natalya to hold the platinum title as champion. Natalya was near to tears with emotion in the ring for failing to grasp the victory.

Damien Sandow arrived and expressed his dismay at language being misused with American culture. Certain words were not acceptable. They include "Ya'll. Reckon. Yee followed by Haw and Big E. Langston when followed by Intercontinental champion. In a few minutes, I will be your Intercontinental champion. You're Welcome!" Sandow was eaisly met with indifference by the crowd as intended.

Intercontinental Championship
Big E. Langston (c) Vs Damien Sandow

The importance of the Intercontinental championship was upkept by Michael Cole explaining to us those champions have gone on to become a World or WWE Heavyweight champ. This was why it was supposedly "important" to be the prestigious Intercontinental champion.

Action quickly went to the outside as Sandow smashed Bigster Langston into the pole outside. Back inside Sandow added fierce jabs, grounded, to Langston. The announcers debated tweeting with obnoxious behaviours, a helping tweeter on your behalf by someone named Ignacio and failing to understand gathering "tone in a tweet" from JBL. JBL said it was not possible to measure such tone through 140 characters. Quite right.

Sandow continued dominating the whole match structure as langering Langston did literally nothing. As Damien climbed atop Big E's shoulders Langston easily moved and dropped Sandow to the ground and started obscenely grunting for impact, as he was rising. Big E. ran the ropes to drop the body splash onto Sandow's back. Langston was countered over the shoulders with a back drop down with two fall return in a good, quick tension builder. Langston easily lifted Sandow who then rolled up the big block of muscle which still left Sandow looking weak. Big E. then pulled his straps down and dropped a random Big Ending in a wasteful and uneventful IC title match, despite a strong performance from the ever workable Sandow.

Lacing his boots, WWE champion Randy Orton was greeted with handshake by Mr. McMahon. They spoke. There was no audio. Oops! Don't flip ya'll lids!

Miz was interrupted on the pre-show by Kofi Kingston who gave Miz a necessary slap in the school of hard knocks. They scuffled as the announcement by Josh Mathews, Mick 'festive Santa hat' Foley and Booker T explained a match was now booked for the evening later. Ho Ho Ho!

Tag Team Championship
Fatal 4 Way, Elimination Tag
Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Colter Vs Rey Mysterio and Big Show Vs Curtis Axel and Ryback Vs Cody Rhodes and Goldust (c)

Ryback started the battle with Cody Rhodes. Ryback hammered down Rhodes as he then changed with one move to tag in Goldust. Curtis Axel was then entered who laughed. Goldust flung Axel over the ring with hip toss and ground knees to arms. JBL compared himself to Brad Pitt. Who needs Adam Ant when you've got JBL on your wall. Well, I'm a modern day Meryl Streep. Big Show now enters to chop Axel's chest for amplified sound. Show then smashed Axel to the floor with a harder chop for crowd laughter. Axel then shoved little man Rey into the corner as Ryback came in. Rey was squashed with a splash. Ry-b hit hard punches which looked feeble. Axel returned. Rey countered over the rope of Axel as they ran into each other. Recovering first Ryback came back into the match. Goldust gained a swift tag from Rey to take down Ryback with a spinebuster. Ryback booted Goldie down in the gut. Goldust covered a school boy pin as Ryback and Curtis Axel were eliminated. Antonio Cesaro made his entry now. Jabs to Goldie occurred then 'Tonio switched in Swagger.

Swagger ran a clothesline into Goldust outside. The pair continue swift tags. Cesaro lifts and gut wrench suplexes Goldie over the head with a fantastic flip drop of strength. Headbutt to the mid section is sold hard by Goldie, revelling in pain. Weedy Swagger bearhugs Goldie, who fights back. 'Dust almost grabs a tag to Cody dazedly strutting along but caught by Swagz as Cesaro enters and launches the swing. Swagger argues with Cody as legal man. Cesaro leapfrog knee drops over Swagger onto Goldust expertly. Goldust caused a chance to break free but failed a tag once again. As he reached the post Rhodes was pulled off by Jack from outside. Goldust then levelled with Cesaro both down as Big Show grabbed Swagger outside to hurl over the barricade. Cesaro threw running knees into Rey knocking him off the apron. Annoyed Big Show begs for the tag from Goldust, who gives it. Show then smashes Cesaro in a good hype exchange moment, despite tacky performance. Show knocked out Jack Swagger and punched out Antonio Cesaro jumping from the turnbuckle. Show takes the pin to send them to the showers.

Show now stares down Rhodes, tending to a battered Goldust in the corner. Weary Goldust composes himself against Show. Show easily pushes Goldust out the ring. Show lifts 'dust inside. Show waits simply standing in place as Goldust climbs to hit across body. Countered chokeslam leads a two fall by Goldust. The tag to Cody is finally achieved. Rhodes takes a two count. Rhodes failed a disaster kick as Show touches the chest to act as a chop/slap. It was weak. Rey flies in and action begins faster. Rey takes a two fall only soon after. Rhodes smacks the Disaster Kick on Rey for two only. Rhodes trips as Goldust comes in and instead Goldie gets the 619. Show smashes 'dust outside. Big Show then goes at it with Cody outside. Show smashed into the corner post. Cody turnbuckle dropkick caught into senton bomb pin for swift two. Cody caught Rey, reversed into ropes. Cody catches the 619 as Rey reverses into an intense two fall. Suspense continues until Cody Rhodes hits Rey Mysterio with the Cross Rhodes to maintain the title for himself and Goldust over challengers Rey Mysterio and Big Show. Big Show then shook hands with Rhodes and Rey was cared for by Goldust. Many were unsure if Rey was injured again so soon returning from injury.

Darren Young and Titus O'Neil tried to sell a Rock brawlin' buddy. Titus showed the Cena doll. Great Khali brought in Sheamus as El Torito (with Los Matadores) revealed Brodus Clay. Vickie Guerrero interrupted and told them to grow up. Brad Maddox entered to play with the Cena dolly and fought Vickie's Brodus Clay who she took a gorgeous liking to. Kane entered with music in the locker room? He then ferociously smashed Clay's doll over Cena. The music then sounded outside as Brodus Clay and Sweet T arrived with the Funky-dac-tills. Ring a ding ding!

Brodus Clay w/ Sweet T, Cameron and Naomi Vs R-Truth w/Xavier Woods

"My Bad..."
Aggressive Clay drops heavy elbow drops on Truth. Woods gave some encouragement for Truth from outside. It was a good position for the unknown Xavier to make a name on WWE TV at least. Clay threw his body into Truth at the corner leaving him a limp rag doll. Clay was annoyed with Sweet T being in the way. Telling him "I'm winning" Truth was placed in the ring by Woods.

Clay charged into an upside down Truth. He told Sweet T to get out of the way. They argued who was better. Sweet T then left foloowing their disagreement. The Funkadactyls then abandoned Clay. As quick as it was R-Truth came up from nowhere to defeat Sweet T, referenced as Tensai, to win the rather dry match up.

Vinnie Mac was seen chatting to John Cena backstage around the arena and gave a handshake to ensure impartiality for the night's historic event. We heard a mutter of good luck from these two. Given the problems with audio with Orton, WWE made sure a camera was there for double protection. They should have decided to not use audio with Cena to make it look as though McMahon was discussing unheard whispers to both, which would have added further implications of possibility to the match upcoming.

Impromptu
No disqualification
Kofi Kingston Vs The Miz

Kofi took early control with aggression on The Miz to begin the match. Kingston brought Miz into the ring so he could throw him back out again. Kofi launches a running tope at Miz only to be squared in the jaw by quick thinking Miz. Kofi responds by hurling vanilla pint sized Miz into the outside barricade. Once back inside the ring Kofi Kingston plans the Trouble In Paradise only for The Miz to duck and work on the leg of Kofi.

Miz retains control in a turnaround of pace. Kofi changes the outlook dropkicking Miz mid air from the turnbuckle soon after. Fans were dismayed and let out a "boring" vocal and requesting tables. Kofi Kingston then planted The Miz with the Trouble In Paradise to cover for a three fall at the near eight minute mark with an empty but contestable win.

3 on 1 Handicap
Daniel Bryan Vs Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan

Bray sits in his rocking chair at ringside. Bryan launches for ginger bald beard Rowan. Bryan was quickly slammed to the canvas with a hard elbow. Harper joins in with fists. Rowan gave an impressive side wrench bearhug throwing Bryan around then tossing him aside to the ground with very high impact. Bray Wyatt was then summoned to the ring. "I could've helped you!" Bray yells at Bryan. As Jerry Lawler contemplates what its like being an enemy after spurning an opportunity to be "friends" Wyatt soon baffles a disorientated Bran with the eerie upside down spider crab. The crowd express "that was creepy" as it was so intended and so difficult for the abstract mind to understand without thought. Knowledge is power, my friends. After worked down by Harper, Bryan is back for seconds.

"Look at these disgusting human beings" Bray refereed to the crowd. "Ill give you one last chance. Take my hand, I will make this all go away." Bray extended his hand. Bryan foolishly spurned his advances and was pummeled by Wyatt. Harper was brought back in and told to "finish him" from the leading Wyatt family member. A tough powerbomb took a two fall as Bryan holds on in defiance. Harper catches his goolies in the corner from a running charge as Bryan shakes his head and 'Hulks up.' Bryan drops the suplex on Harper after taking off Rowan. Bryan looks like he's having a seizure as he 'Hulks up' again. It's BryanaMania!

The YES! kicks are smashed as Danny Boy flies the headbutt down. Rowan saves the match. Bryan smashes a leg which knocks back and traps Rowan in the ropes. Bryan slams knees on Bray Wyatt when instantly getting the tag. Bryan takes out the other two. Two fall on Bray causes angry Wyatt to attack Bryan. Landing outside on fire, Bryan drops them over the tables outside. Missile dropkick down on Bray as a YES! Lock attempt was foiled. Wyatt smiles at Bryan's hearty yet failed attempts and gives the kiss to the forehead as consolation before planting Bryan into the mat for the three fall as Bray Wyatt cradles a seemingly naive Bryan with Erick Rowan and Luke Harper nearby.

WWE and World Heavyweight Championship
Tables, Ladders, Chairs
Randy Orton (c) Vs John Cena (c)

The time has finally come to crown a new undisputed WWE World heavyweight champion. WWE tell us it will be either Randy Orton, the WWE champion or World heavyweight champion John Cena. Will fans get a champion, or will there be a turn of events that crowns no-one? The match with tons of possibilities and a chance to prove they are the face of the WWE is now upon us. "There will be one winner. One undisputed, unified champion" - McMahon, S. (TLC:2012)

In a TLC match there can be no disqualifications. Anything goes...

The first man to climb the ladder and hold both titles will win, Justin Roberts informs us.

As the historic match begins for WWE's 50th celebration of heavyweight champions, World champ Cena was instantly seen calling a spot not one minute in, on camera. It was a disappointing shambles. Orton brings the first ladder in. Cena stops it and uses it against Orton's arm. Cena introduces a table into the corner as Orton favours his arm. Cena avoids table smash as Orton grabs a chair from outside. The pair fight over the chair as Orton smashes the loud clash of steel onto Cena's back to cheers from the WWE Universe. Cena drops to the floor in front of the steel steps as Orton misses the chair hit. It was a pathetic sell from Cena once more. Orton then smacked the chair to the other corner missing, allowing Cena to grab it and Superman attack Orton down in unreliable fashion.

Cena failed to put Orton through a table outside as Orton hurled Cena into the other side steps. The kids and odd few men chant for Cena as the sound is deafening for "Cena Sucks!" Orton scales the ladder as Cena charges in to pull Randy down the ladder as the pair knock each other down. Orton unpacks the ladder and stamps over Cena on ground to wear down. Cena places his hands on Randy's hips to stand up.

One stepladder to climb. Top of the mountain.
Cena hit Orton with cheap ladder jab soon after to climb atop. Orton clubs him down. Randy star gazes to the top. Heard having a little chat to direct clueless Cena. Naturally Cena moves from a ladder Orton attack, only to be greeted by chair swings instead. "This is boring" among other chants is heard.

Orton touches the titles as Cena stops him. Comedy character Cena drops the five knuckle shuffle off the ladder. Cena shoved the ladder to Orton on the apron slowly falling back into the ladder below. Cena climbs the top to tip the titles. Orton hurriedly enters to stop Cena and RKO him down, despite still feeling the effects from table smash.

Cena gained intense momentum smashing everything at Orton in a quick turn of superpower from nowhere again. It was once again, unbelievable. Cena gets the ladder as Orton thuds an echoey hit to the skull resounding in the arena. Orton holds the mic by his nether regions as he uses his foreign object over Cena's head bashing him hard hearing the sound of collisions.

Orton went for the punt missing and Cena predictably lifts Orton into the announce table outside. Cena feigns exhaustion scaling the ladder now. Touching the titles, Orton tips the ladder as Cena dangles on the titles. Orton smacks a chair to the spine of Cena. Cena starts jumping up and "Ahh" -ing on every hit in comedy fashion which is just plain pathetic. Hit, bounce, "Aahh!" Repeat five to six times. It was a sad day for wrestling's 50th celebration event. Exhausted, tired and worn down from multiple chair shots, Cena, as luck would have it, instantly shoves Orton into the table stacked in the corner. Orton finds handcuffs under the ring and cuffs Cena to the bottom ropes. "It's over" Jerry says as JBL adds "Randy Orton is going to become the new champion of champions." Thanks for ruining it, guys. Fans felt they knew what was predictably about to happen.

Cena ridiculously tries to pull the handcuffs off by pressing his legs against the ropes and shaking like he's on a vibrating potty. The comedy fashion in an expert match is utterly ridiculous. Cena, after all these years, should have learnt by now how to work to a decent and more importantly, the "WWE way" by now.

Anyone remember this old match?
Orton teases Cena by slowly setting a ladder to walk the top. Cena starts unscrewing the ring ropes and not surprisingly breaks free. The tension builds. The pair climb atop the ring. Cena smashes Orton with the steel metal which is against his mentality of nobility again. Orton yanks the ropes in a tug of war with Cena. Orton flings him off as Cena fails to fall into the table stacked next to him, slanted in corner post and hits his head on the corner instead. That was another botch for point scorers at home. Orton climbs and touches the titles. Randy Orton waits for a moment until he unhooks the titles to cradle his dangling delights and now becomes the undisputed WWE World champion over John Cena.

The music begins as Mr.McMahon's theme sounds and out walk all three McMahon family members Steph, Hunter and Vince. All three praise messiah Orton with congratulations to mark the historic end to the year with crowning of a new title era.

PPV Rating - 8/10

Men/Women of their matches - Seth Rollins, AJ, Damien Sandow, Brodus Clay, Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton

Man/Woman of the PPV - Randy Orton

Kofi Kingston has been given a green light which is encouraging, however after last month's failed switch to aggressive behaviour, Kingston was deprived of an effective turn. He needs to be given high momentum in his course. He excelled himself in a smooth and average stone stepper with The Miz, who is quite frankly, beneath him.

The tag team collision was a Triple H bragging move once more. However, the tag division is growing as a result. When WWE want to, they can, but only focusing on one division and then abandoning it after it gets bored ruins the overall outlook for fan engagement. If it can't handle all divisions at once, which it cannot, it should considered hiring an extra force into handling one 'minor' division more manageable for the product.

Having Big Show placed with Mysterio actually works better for him. The problem, is that Show's first entry in the match was minimal but worked well. Then he continued and became sloppy in a millisecond. With so many teams, however, it is plausible to crack apart a couple over coming months.

Of course Sandow was going to lose, but after holding the entire match together, WWE need to implement procedure to protect Sandow for such loss to build a non-entity based on muscle and height criteria.

Divas champ AJ. Wasn't upset for now.
Perhaps Nattie's time has past. We shall see. What's Uncle Bret up to these days? Wonder if he's dropped the ego to become apologetic and humble as he claims. We're watching.

Brodus Clay has opportunities if done correctly. Play could indeed be a bigger player for the big boys and the show. We shall see. At this time, Clay has shown something that could be expanded upon. Where this leaves Tensai and the Funky Divas is actually quite prosperous. Let's hope WWE doesn't rush it. Royal Rumble could deliver the outcome for all four's paths. Tele-show Total Divas should not be an influence to the choice of Naomi and Cameron's future prospects.

Punk held a compact battle with The Shield and their interplay was smooth, connected and full of interest. A slow progression was advised and has now delivered a decent and longer lasting entertainment and wrestling value.

Bryan's loss to the Wyatt's was another secret gem. The growing family of eerie undertones are what WWE needs to further intrigue and confuse product cleverly. With a tag team also in play and Bryan's own skills, much is achievable.

After its historic event with its two most significant heavyweights, WWE decided to restore some mild faith to the fans by crowning only one champ, in Randy Orton. The move from predictable Cena is still seen as political powerplay of the WWE Universe, however, has kept fans happy to an extent. Electing Orton as its stronghold, at least for now, is vital for WWE to drive the New Year run to 'Mania. The only question is will it have the manpower to boost a number of superstars into the spotlight now the title has merged into one? Some fans settle, some pick a side to bearable standard. Others greeted botch, and indeed the company and its titles, with indecision towards both men. However, all in all, in this instance, with PPV direction, the fans went home happy.

Was it a good choice to unify?

As Wrestling Wonders has debated previously, we said titles shouldn't be unified. We can understand exactly why WWE have done so, and it is a workable decision given WWE limited stockpile of challengers. Without any call ups and reliance on old favourites, slim as they are, WWE must move faster in laying creative foundations. With only Cena and Orton with Bryan and Punk as its fall backs alongside Del Rio, the company need to establish a multitude of contenders. Without this, the decision to unify was obvious. If they had enough in place, it would not have been needed. In order to become fully effective, fans do not wish to see re-runs continuously as well as having John Cena exchange pointless title victories back and forth for the record books to become its most decorated star atop the WWE tree.

TLC is a weird PPV, indeed. At the closing stages of the year, WWE pulls out its trump card and gives an enjoyable and directive stance for the Road to Wrestlemania. It's just a baffling shame to fans who cannot comprehend why only this one has the strongest effort and appeal often lacking in the previous PPV's in the pro-wrestling calendar. Let's hope WWE really pull more surprises at Royal Rumble and beyond to create new opportunities, challengers and feuds that the audience really can contribute to with their cash and be fully satisfied as a result.
