WWE Extreme Rules 2014

Extreme Rules 2014

Live on Pay Per View, Sunday May 4th, from the Izod Centre in East Rutherford, New Jersey, would Extreme Rules be a worthy pay off for staff, the WWE Network and its new age performers? The biggest test for WWE was not Extreme Rules, but the WWE Network itself hosting PPV after going it alone from traditional cable providers. Would a future be laid down or simply washed out? Let's find out.

Triple Threat
Rob Van Dam Vs Jack Swagger Vs Antonio Cesaro w/ Paul Heyman

RVD begins the show with his Rolling Thunder at Jack Swagger who monkey flipped Antonio Cesaro on top instead. RVD later dropped a powerbomb onto Cesaro to the floor. Cesaro returns later to swing Swagger stopped mid way by Van Dam.

Antonio slammed Swagger with a heavy suplex as RVD elsewhere flew the frog splash to nail Swagger. Jack Swagger became eliminated. That's right. This late triple threat addition was a elimination from the original Swagger/Cesaro collision. Van Dam uses the guard rail and lands on Cesaro from the ring apron. Fans chant ECW. Hardly, but fans are feeling the buzz at this time, which is a comfort to the performers. After using a trash can slightly in ring, RVD takes to the top for a frog splash once more. Rob Van Dam missed as Antonio Cesaro won the battle with a powerful neutralizer.  Van Dam continues to use his exact routine from yesteryear in a smooth and easy going relay. If he really wants to re-influence his place, he and WWE are going to need to figure this out with a more current transition.

Handicap
Alexander Rusev w/ Lana Vs R-Truth and Xavier Woods

If there was ever any doubt that two could overcome one as odds would have it, allow Extreme Rules to enlighten you. After an introduction from the ever cherry glazed lipstick lovely Lana, she absurdly dedicated the match to Russian President Vladimir Putin. There was simply no need. Ingenious WWE allowed Ruzev to dominate the match and crush the pair of superstars who became two random jobbers in the evening. Running as a failed prospect of big men with all muscle mass and no talent, skill or charisma, Alexander Rusev easily crushed Xavier Woods and R-Truth. Woods, one of WWE's so called favoured prospects called up months ago, was pummelled into oblivion. We never saw greatness in Woods, but even if WWE did, a call up to destroy them on national television was plainly ridiculous.

The new reform of Evolution had a chat backstage.

Intercontinental Championship
Big E. (c) Vs Bad News Barrett

Quite a lot has occurred in recent weeks for this. First Langston was re-branded as Big E. after WWE got bored of the muscle mass prospect. Adding insult to injury, Bigster had to simply watch a TV screen in the locker-room over two weeks of Raw shows leading to the PPV. On these shows an Intercontinental tournament was launched and dragged on so long it was pointless. Leading candidate Cesaro, by fans, was predictably by this writer, used as a swerve from WWE bigwigs to place Barrett onto the path of IC glory. The tournament failed to build strong momentum as intended for this match itself.

Though Big E. has been a huge liability and careless in his in-ring behaviour WWE once again, likened to Woods, dropped someone they felt important at the time. Not to say 'we told you so' (which we did) we wanted to protect these cautions. WWE chose not to think and placed the path regardless. The result was this disaster of no momentum to either champion or challenger and a waste of talent presented. Given yet another senseless push, Bad News Borette held most of the action. Big E. was allowed a little action in spots to run and support the match. Big E. attempted the Big Ending backbreaker, but was countered by Bad News Barrett who ran a botched and non connective forearm fly followed by the Bull Hammer.

Some fans cheered for Barrett because they were so bored of the IC title in limbo while others had no real reaction. The basis of change was present. It was not for with Big E. or Barrett themselves. Therein lies the problem. Barrett's countless repackage and mid-tier prospects are so dim that not even the IC title can save him from jobber to future endeavours even if WWE are high on him, for now.

Six man Tag Team
Evolution Vs The Shield

The Evolution refit of Batista, Triple H and Randy Orton for this very match up was cast in doubt. Will Triple H's incessant ego drop The Shield a chance to be big names? Is the ego that big that being off television as a headline performer is so difficult to bear he will dilute a PPV instead?

The Shield began clearing house as Evolution then took control. Ambrose was used as whopping boy by Triple H and Co. until he managed a comeback enough to tag in Roman Reigns. Reigns fell to a pedigree but kicked out. So much for a new star in the making. He kicked out of an RKO, performed well by both Orton and Reigns. This one then went into the crowd with fighting. Ooh, how novel. The crowd getting some 'Extreme' action.

Seth Rollins was then required for the flying spot. He launched from the stands onto Orton and HHH, which was perfectly done by The trio's superglue Rollins.

Reigns flew the superman punch onto Batista in the ring during the frucous smashing Batista of Evolution as Reigns picked up the victory for The Shield.

Steel Cage
Bray Wyatt w/ Erick Rowan and Luke Harper Vs John Cena

After their weird encounter at Wrestlemania last month, would this match for Wyatt raise the profile after a loss previously when the big stage could have presented such glorious opportunity?

Over with crowd, Wyatt began strong. Cena countered in typical fashion, but met by Rowan upon an escape attempt. The Wyatt's await on yet another attempt for a Cena escape, who clearly did not learn from the first try. Cena's extreme over-animation in character, mannerisms and in-ring action just screams stupidity. Fans are not that stupid. They are fed up with it.

Cena tries a pin which Bray kicks out of. Cena reaches the door now. Again, clever thinking Cena is met by Rowan and Harper who halt the escape. Harper predictably enters the cage. Cena lands an Attitude Adjustment from the top rope failing as Harper saves his family member.

As Cena mounts a chance to escape (again) the lights go out. The sound of a lone child signing "He's got the Whole World in his hands" sounds from a muffled microphone. Distracted and confused John Cena misplaces his faith and is nailed by Bray Wyatt with Sister Abigail to land a clean pinfall victory.

Divas Championship
Paige (c) Vs Tamina

Tamina was allowed huge momtuem and dominance over Paige fromthe beginning. After winnning the diva's title in a random encounter with AJ on the post-Wrestlemania Raw, fluke champion Paige has been booked with jobbers to lead to her match this evening. Taking on the likes of Aksana, Alicia Fox, Aksana and alaicia Fox, with a dash of Rosa Mendes thrown in, Paige is nothing more than a flunkie. Paige's interactions were sloppy and inaccurate.

Called up by Triple H's desperate ego trying to prove to WWE up top he can run the show, is pathetic. With his failed stars Sin Cara and Kharma, both of whcih are gone from WWE, HHH is desperate to have a name on TV he can say was his great forward thinking. With his clutches tightly squeezing the skill out of NXT call ups, HHH saw an oppotunity. Picking a fan favouirte who put in a few average performances with a very sprse roster in NXT for fan cheer, HHH has actually cost himself his reputation tenfold.

What makes for NXT success doesn't equate to WWE stardom. Alexander Rusev, Xavier Woods, Bo Dallas (wherever he is) among others prove WWE's mismanagement is costing them a real chance. All to say, 'I did this' because WWE are getting fairly clueless, though not as clueless as TNA, granted.  If it can't think of ideas, hire this writer despite your pride costing you everytime. "There is no-one who can do what I can do" Argue all you like, this is a fact.

Tamina was predictable defeated by fluke champ and inexperience mainstage diva Paige. What a waste. Fans want to know when is the point WWE will actually value anything ever again. Will Triple H's re-re-launch of the Diva's division after dropping the tag division since his mates are not champ be ever fruitful? Hmm.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Daniel Bryan (c) Vs Kane

After finally gaining the heavyweight gold, Daniel Bryan took his first defence against Kane. The 5 foot 8 superstar who has a different look to WWE and the audience whom respect it took place in WWE's annual new age, past Wrestlemania PPV block. Does this remind you of anyone who had the World title at this stage years prior under all the exact requirements? Expect a loss before Summerslam.

Kane began with a Singapore cane onslaught of Bryan. The re-heated fire breathen Kane provided excellent competition for Bryan. Re-masked and as dangerous as ever, Kane battered the champ in a show of understanding. Bryan changed pace with a tornado DDT off the announce table outside.

The pair took the fight backstage. Ooh. An Extreme Rules thriller every year. After turning the tables on Kane, Bryan however made it memorable, at least for now, using a forklift truck. Wheeling Kane back to the ring on the vehicle front, Bryan lands a headbutt. Kane kicks out. A near fall chokeslam returned to Bryan in retaliation. Bryan uses chair attacks and kendo sticks on the monster before placing the YES! Lock on him. Kane smashes Bryan through a outside stacked table. The monster proceeds to lit a table on fire for Daniel to fly through. Kane is misplaced by Daniel Bryan's skill and Bryan puts Kane through the fiery wood instead. Daniel Bryan follows up with the running knee attack for the win.

PPV Rating - 5/10

Men/Women of their matches - Antonio Cesaro, R-Truth, Big E., Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Tamina, Daniel Bryan

Man/Woman of the PPV -Daniel Bryan

The Swiss sensation of beefcake galore is not growing as WWE intended. Their start/stop treatment is costly at the highest level. Even as a Max Waltham Paul Heyman guy, Antonio Cesaro could well be doomed at this point. Favouring Wade Barrett over Cesaro proves WWE have no idea, even if Cesaro should not be Intercontinental champion.

Barrett as champion, with yet another useless gimmick to try to prove he can make it before WWE finally concede defeat is laughable. It makes the company look entirely stupid, really clueless and very biased. What level of hope is there when it also discredits its own title? WWE need to find real challengers not one word gimmicks that offer no interest whatsoever.

The Shield are on a course of slow burner which we suggested as praise. WWE, however, are unsure how to develop them all whilst keeping the battle ticking over. Stuck in the '80's is clearly hurting the future now.

Tamina should have grabbed the title at Extreme Rules. When WWE are going to boost this aggressive, clever and powerful diva is anyone's guess. People, especially with diva's matches, have low interest and a flunkie champion on a handshake victory will not encapsulate the audience. She needs to be dropped, pronto. Do it now. This will only ever continue your problems. Why would you need such problems unnecessarily?

In the case of Wyatt, it was too little, too late. Wyatt's win was needed at Wrestlemania. Merchandise seller John Cena remains WWE's problem. There is nothing wrong with selling merchandise, but affecting the product from moving forward to a future is wasteful. Anything Wyatt does with Cena over the coming months is not fully momentous, because the culmination at 'Mania was needed to win. Cena, however, has few opponents to battle with. Tired and dated, Cena is losing stride as much as every challenger he fights. The drawing board with WWE must be assessed in order to re-structure the way forward. It is simple. WWE just don't know what to do, so will revert to the past. The result is the present, never a future.

Daniel Bryan is booked as champ. He'll keep it though to the Summer, so WWE need to get on with making real contenders to his title, to validify the heavyweight reign as important, powerful and meaningful after a year in the making with last year's up and down coming of age story.

WWE are really trying to make new stars, that much is clear. Their lack of understanding how to do it, who to place and in what light is making WWE look ridiculous. With it, fans lose interest, even if they continue to watch as standard than be fully engaged. Fans in the Wrestlemania arena were bored during The Undertaker's match, which is shambolic that this legend was resigned to nothingness.

WWE's future is currently lit. We are officially in the underachievers era. The one's that WWE failed to launch correctly have now been placed. In their placings they either are useless or have been used as fodder whilst as champion. That is simply ludicrous. WWE is low on stock. It needs to seriously think about its way forward than simply assume it will be okay.

For WWE, its over reliance on the personal thrill of the WWE Network is reducing its quality. Never to be outdone by anyone, Vince McMahon will want the network to become a roaring success. With already so much money wasted on the network, WWE should have stuck with financing its future with training, new hires and backstage business growers. Fans already disgruntled at the shabby transmissions of choppy and delay features, the WWE's Network is something that may be around from those up top, but the fans will not be encouraged to support it, nor passionately get behind it to boost its popularity. Can it before it grows too problematic. Don't get in 'over your heads' as the company got in a flurry with streaming giant Netflix, as noted by WWE's head office. You're Welcome.

The Shield's options at Wrestlemania

Trio's triple
trouble solution?

With The Shield's involvement at Wrestlemania undecided and fast approaching at the start of April, we'll look at what could be done to save the trio from an uneventful and lacklustre booking. Though WWE really should have had this laid down by now.

After a looming break up being teased for Roman Reigns to fly solo the trio could easily battle in a super hot threesome. Though WWE will expect Reigns to come out on top if it heads down this route, WWE can actually protect the group by making Reigns lose. This will safeguard the entire three members regardless of a split.

Should it be for the United States championship? Two options. Yes and No. With the title on the line WWE can retain Ambrose as leader, though the title needs to change hands ideally. In order to retain it into The Shield's supergroup walls, Rollins would be a perfect transition. Ambrose, if he stays, most likely, would appreciate that over time. This will freshen Ambrose and often viewed as a curse to those who can't carry it with well backed up pathways, Reigns, as a new star, would be demoted with the gold. For Rollins, a capable and exceptional worker, this would raise the prestige and promote his role in WWE and the group, also proving himself to leader Ambrose.

Reigns does not need to depart from the group in a loss. He can stay and build up the dissention and contemplate leaving after patchy support in the triple threat and beyond. On a losing streak with the Shielders, Reigns would be further set and with an over convoluted NostalgiaMania WWE need a full PPV to boost the disagreeing partners. One or two months will do it, unless WWE want to build longer. There si also the possibility Reigns could take over The Shield, too.

If the title isn't on the line the same can happen in principal, or Reigns could win. The choice is the 'E's but The Shield must be built strongly than a throwaway battle with no meaning.

Having the Wyatt Family's Luke Harper and Erick Rowan in a tag with Reigns and Rollins may be passable, but overall it would be empty and lacking as a standard tag bout. What can they all feasibly achieve? Nothing much. Why would this be a stepping stone for Reigns to be upset with only Rollins?

With Dean Ambrose being the spare, the unification battle possibly scheduled for Elimination Chamber was postponed. Planning to attempt it here, WWE should avoid. Unifying the United States with the Intercontinental championship is a huge mistake. Already unifying the heavyweight titles at TLC with only three weeks preparation and another John Cena/Randy Orton clash fans are sick off, WWE lost huge and predicted buy rates. Ideas like that, with such monumental meaning behind them cannot be ushered in on a whim. With such a unification, as touched on before, the contenders will have nothing to strive for. When WWE needs huge stars to rise and secondary titles are that platform whilst WWE earmarks its favourites for heavyweight favourtism, rostered stars need something to aspire to. Removing both titles does not increase the prestige of a title. WWE simply get bored or feel there is no one capable backstage. There are tons. Christian, Mysterio, NXT newbie's, Hennig Jr., Young, Sandow, Rio, Fandango and even Heath Slater. When WWE wants to drop its stars, there are many waiting to pick up the prestige, some will only reach the top of the midcard, others will be resting in transit before heavyweight re-launch. Many can value WWE's gold if it re-evaluates their rosters' commitments and direction given.  One title will decrease the options available to strive forward with such unachievable goals. It is counterproductive and offers no sustainability.

With late booking and running out of options, the company need to lock something in fast. Whatever it chooses, it has to protect The Shield overall. Destroying this group for no reason would not deliver what WWE needs to move forward with and this should be sought to protect all major groups when forming such decisions that affect the entire product in what will become a rising achievement for all or a simple outright destruction of two guys for one boost gaining  a five minute interest. Remember, Reigns, among others need opponents to fight with once they become the star. You are only ever as good as your last performance.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2014

WWE Elimination Chamber 2014

Live from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Pay Per View, WWE presented their fifth Elimination Chamber PPV on Sunday 23rd February. With the heavyweight title all to play for and six strong entries, would WWE be able to present a thrilling card also filled with fan appreciation? Would it be a one match event or would the rest of the card be tightly packed together in the lead up to the main event? Let's find out.

Intercontinental Championship
Big E. Langston (c) Vs Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Colter

The action was rather disjointed and awkward to watch. Langston charged through the ring at Swagger to cheers though was an awkward collision. Langston has made numerous interactions that have been neglectful and could seriously harm stars just as Ryback and Sheamus have been. Previous casualties include Dean Ambrose when liability Langston busted his face hardway with a sloppy collision. It's not personal, its professional. Langston needs to take care when performing and install cruise control without loss of traction. Swagger flung Big E. later from the top rope which was a decent display from both. Swagger followed with an awful misconnected low body shoulder dive which Langston also avoided sideways. Big E then escaped a Patriot  Lock from Swagger. Big E ran into a mid body boot only to come back with a power move easily. Langston re-entered a Patriot Lock reaching his feet to escape. Big E. Langston drops the Big Ending to drop Jack Swagger and keep hold of the Intercontinental Championship in a tentative tussle.

Langston needs to slow down and refine his aggression. Some others can also do the same as mentioned above. It is important not to injure as well as maintain compact skill and interaction.

Instantly after English tool Bad News Barrett arrived on a podium to laugh.

Tag Team Championship
New Age Outlaws (c) Vs The Uso's

Lockups, takedowns and fast paced flying the tag battle was a competitive and consistent match. Though the New Age Outlaws are still workable, the Uso's worked excellently with a vicious hip toss into the corner of one of the Uso's by Road Dogg. Ground work continued well as the Uso's brought back momentum with Jimmy Uso and Mr.Ass with the kiss lips on his pink tights once more. Jimmy soon went up top to the corner as Road Dogg attempted to come in from outside which Jimmy kicked off the apron. The distraction allowed the New Age Outlaws to score a roll up for a three fall retainment of the titles. As fans see it, Triple H's friends retained the gold.

Barrett returned on a podium again for another whiney installment.  Barrett's release cannot come quickly enough.

Darren Young Vs Titus O'Neil

After their short break up, O'Neil, once WWE's favourite new heavyweight prospect due to height and muscle requirements was set onto a pathway with his former friend. The action was mild but content.

After a quick fallout on Smackdown where Titus could not tag in to Young who was pasted in the match loss, O'Neil raised a boot to Young's gut. The fallout now continues this evening.

A lock up starts the pair as inseparable. A cheap touch followed as Titus botched a dropkick from Young to the knees with no connectivity. Backbreaker followed. A little watered down without any real enthusiasm but the match was respected by fans for the wrestling action involved. Young displayed capable qualities and clearly the stronger of the two. Young ran into a Clash of the Titus move as Titus O'Neil wins the match in a short and empty challenge which had good content in part.

Boring stain Wade Barrett returned again for another saddening dribble of nothingness.

Six Man Tag Team
Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan Vs Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns

After disrupting the status quo for The Shield over the last month The Wyatt Family came to dominate the show as a contest of alpha males.

Rollins and Rowan go at it where Rollins takes an amazing flight. Reigns joins with tagged interplay. Whopping boy Rollins once more excels for The Wyatt's. Harper now feeds off of Rollins who is simply exceptional for the Wyatt's and without him they wouldn't be as strong as they hoped on the night. WWE need to have more respect for Rollins. Without him they would be in severe difficulties. Reigns now enters with Bray. Reigns goes after nutjob Wyatt as Bray stands own firm ground with comeback as equals. Harper rejoins who soon gets a piece of tagged in Ambrose. Rollins and Ambrose double team very well as a pair. Ambrose keeps strong offence against Harper. Rollins returns to be dismissed with frequent tags to Ambrose.

Initial leaders Bray and Ambrose take the fight as Bray squashes Ambrose in a hard collision to the ring post. After more destruction Rollins was allowed to have his moment and took down all the Wyatt's with super athletic aerialism including a superb moment with a suplex from the top corner reversed landing on his feet which was respected until Harper smashed a hard slam. Rollins soon reverted to beat down rag after.

Reigns received crowd support when tangling with Rowan one on one. Reigns landed a number of 'Superman punches' while Rollins and Harper destroyed the Spanish announce table. It was a bad time for poor Seth. Bray watches as Rowan and Harper double powerbombed sap Rollins through the table.

Shortly after the hot action neared its end with the three Wyatt's battling Reigns whose might powered away from Bray's clutches when Sister Abigail attempted to join in. Roman Reigns received a headbutt to no effect to smash a Samoan drop on Bray. After hurling out Harper and Rowan in a sudden power surge, Bray Wyatt resurfaced quickly as Harper received the spear intended for his master. Bray then nailed Reigns with the kiss of his Sister to cover for the three fall to win the challenge over The Shield in a hotly fought thriller on both sides.

Impromptu
Unified Women's Championship
AJ (c) w/ Tamina Vs Cameron

The platinum butterfly belt was defended in a short addition and impromptu match. Empty and littered with mistakes, the gals strained three and a half minutes in this one. After friend Naomi was busted by a messy botch from Aksana on Raw just weeks ago to the eye, requiring surgery, the result was an obvious one.

CM punk cheers from the crowd. 252 days is the "longest reigning divas champion of all time" AJ explains adding there was "Zero competition".  The match then began with Cameron, who danced. AJ ran into a touch for Cameron's splits leg drop. AJ hit a roundhouse kick as Cameron ran into it barely touching. Cameron predictably used roll ups and then danced in between. AJ predictably used headlocks again to stall time. AJ skipped. The pair ran into each other with no connectivity. Cameron hit a legdrop to air instead of AJ's head as intended.  Cameron was soon sent outside. "CM Punk" rang from the crowd as AJ used the pom pom's to cheerlead. Tamina hit a superkick on AJ by accident as Cameron put AJ inside for a two count as Tamina saved AJ. Cameron went after Tamina who floored her with a hot clothesline. Once again, Tamina is the only standout star in the division.

WWE are clearly going to need to find some strong females to place on the card for Wrestlemania if it is serious about booking a female match up.

AJ was defeated by Cameron, however, through a disqualification to maintain their brief feud. AJ still holds the title as a result.

Batista Vs Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio arrived on crutches after Batista delivered a brutal bash through the announce table on Raw of the Mexican Aristocrat previously. Batista has since gone back to hot black tights than previous MMA short pants. As often as people don't understand, pants and smaller details are crucial to success. For the record, they look better.

Rio said he would not be able to compete this evening, then stuffed a crutch into Batista's face with an assault. Rio ripped off his sweat jacket stripping his clothes to his scarf and tights bearing a smile for good measure. The crowd cheered "Ce" for Del Ri-o. Huge boos instantly for Batista's first move since the bell began. Fans have not responded well to The Animal's return since a Royal Rumble victory catapulting him to the main event at Wrestlemania. "Boo-tista!" the crowd bellow as Rio locks a leg hold on the ropes for the beefy Batista. Batista showed a fair amount of pain for Del Rio in arm hold as fans held onto the hope that "CM Punk" might return. Fans often agree this is disrespectful to the performers when it isn't related to the content on show. "Y2J" was also mentioned. WWE clearly have a problem. It needs to produce content that supports the crowd, however fans must be aware not all fan favourites can be placed in such fantasy situations inside of a business approach. This would be called a compromise to deliver a better product. Fans won't be respected by WWE for "going into business for themselves " which will affect the product given back by WWE.

Rio contained dominance over Batista with a two fall. Rio countered a finisher and kicked the head of Batista who kicked out at two again.

Rio made a split rookie mistake turning his back as Batista nailed the Batista Bomb to cover Alberto Del Rio for a three fall and win the match heading to Wrestlemania with much heavier momentum.

The crowd did not feel that one, but WWE won't worry about them as disregars them as fantasists for their "CM Punk" boycott chants. This is the way they view it. Batista was booed heavily. To his credit he sold heavily for Rio despite upset in the back at returning stars worries sidelining long term workers.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Elimination Chamber
John Cena Vs Christian Vs Randy Orton (c) Vs Daniel Bryan Vs Antonio Cesaro Vs Sheamus

The Chamber looms. Comprising the pods are, John Cena, Christian, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan.

The first two to battle the opening match would be Antonio Cesaro and Sheamus. Cesaro, accompanied by Zeb Colter outside, has re-adopted the white tights with red streak and rugby socks which is a good return and a new look. The name will be a fail if WWE doesn't quickly revert it.

Cesaro began strong with a charge and dominance of Sheamus instantly. Sheamus then quickly returned one punch to regain the control. Cesaro was allowed to maintain strong offence whilst working Sheamus to a capable entry. Sheamus then dived over the top rope with a shoulder block in comedy fashion. Sheamus hit a sloppy clothesline once more of Antonio which is another liability. Sheamus, among others could seriously injure WWE performers. Someone needs to read him the riot act. He must work with people than destroy them completely. Sheamus almost bungled being lifted over the top rope to the outside grill.

Orton gave a sexy smirk from his pod as Cesaro kept control. Cesaro mocked Cena in his pod whilst going for Sheamus with the hand wave. Cesaro planted a huge uppercut on Sheamus, who sold it for thirty seconds before climbing to the top rope. Cesaro stalled him with another as the countdown for a new participant begins. In enters Daniel Bryan. Pocket rocket Bryan instantly charges a missile dropkick from the top to Cesaro. YES! kicks on Sheamus after, taking him down with a heavy running clothesline. Bryan then trades YES! kicks with both guys on their knees. No one was able to get the roundhouse kick as the crowd anticipated. Understanding the motion, Cesaro quickly used ring psychology to take a kick by Bryan. Both improvised fast and well.

Cesaro regains control over Bryan.  Relentless Cesaro took Sheamus to the outside then stopped by Bryan who was reversed and swung into the pod window smashing through shoulders first. It was another great interplay between the two. Sheamus quickly then backbreak rolled Cesaro to the grilling followed with a two fall in ring. "Let's go Cena. Cena sucks!" chants ring as the countdown starts again. The next entry? Christian. He shoves Sheamus off the top and works onto Bryan to cheers for being in the match but boo's for going for the favourite. With only Cesaro and Orton as rogue battlers, WWE needed an obvious balance. Christian displayed strong qualities and ripped Bryan's injured shoulder padding off to hit him onto the pod for extra damage.

WWE had earlier planned to consider removing Christian from the match after we touched on the Jeff Hardy stairwell whodunit in which fans cost Christian a sustained push with online gossip and spoilers, something WWE felt highly distasteful and irrespective.

Christian followed further power slamming Sheamus down. Cesaro attempted a swing on Christian who blocked and then reversed a door gate assault landing on the chamber only to be powerbombed by Cesaro into the pod. Quick thinking Antonio attempted a cover in ring for a two fall only. Phew, Christian wasn't laid to waste so easily. This is highly beneficial in the absence of WWE stars.

Sheamus and Cesaro trade blows. Cesaro amazingly gut wrench suplexes Sheamus to the steel floor outside. Another star is coming in. John Cena enters to vicious disagreement. He flings Christian onto Cesaro and climbs the top as Bryan hurricanrana's Cena. Cena takes kicks from Bryan but fails to sell the impact. Christian gets a sneak attack on Bryan to cover for a tense two fall. Now Cesaro grabs the legs of Christian for a swing, halted by a flying Cena. Cena then drops Christian for a five knuckle shuffle, only to be planted by Sheamus with White Nosie. Cesaro and Sheamus go back at it. Uppercuts versus punches as Christian kicks Sheamus in the head, Sheamus counters Cesaro's finisher as Christian drops over Sheamus and drops a Jump Swinging DDT. Cena catches and smashes him into the steel wall. Cena lightly taps the flying elbow run on Cesaro as Antonio smacks an uppercut to Cena's face to huge cheers.

Cena, Cesaro and Bryan take centrestage with attacks as Sheamus and Christian try outside. Sheamus holds Cesaro as Bryan attacks only for Sheamus to viciously shove Bryan into the steel wall. In his pod Randy Orton looks on, thrilled. Cesaro drops a huge suplex on Sheamus as the final countdown sends Orton into the fray. Orton clears the ring with attacks on everyone. Fans give Orton a little "boring" sound as Orton taunts.

Now flanked by Cena, Bryan and Sheamus, the champ is caught in all directions. Orton retreats to his pod. Sheamus stares at Orton in the pod. Fans lower the tone chanting "p***y" as Orti smiles and licks his lips. Sheamus then brogue kicks the door apart as Orton is knocked down and Sheamus smashes him inside the ring. Cena knocks an Attitude Adjustment followed with missconnected five knuckle shuffle. Cesaro hurls Cena out. Orton gets caught into the fabled super swing for thirty rotations. Damn, that looked hot.

The action changes quickly with everyone as Sheamus stands tall. Surging for a Brogue Kick on Christian, he ducks as Cena is knocked instead. Christian takes a quick two fall on Sheamus and then Cena. Christian retreats from Sheamus with pleas as the Celtic Warrior tries a dominator. Christian uses the elevation to climb the top as JBL likens Christian to a mnonkey. Jerry Lawler drops the "spider monkey" for a little laugh. It was okay in quick context. We giggled. Orton stopped Sheamus and retook charge. Christian, atop the pod, hits a flying splash down onto the Irishman then glides over Sheamus for a three fall elimination. "This is Awesome!" the crowd say. Christian then flung Orton over to be nailed by Bryan in a hard flying attack and is eliminated with ease.

The four go hammer and tongs. Cesaro/Cena and Orton/Bryan. Bryan and Cena stare down on opposite parts of the ring to huge "YES!" agreements. The pair battle with fists as Bryan tries the YES! Lock as Cena "powers through" Cesaro from behind double German suplexes Cena, who holds Bryan in hold. Cena counters all of Cesaro's manoeuvres to smash him to the outside with the plexi-fibre glass. Cena gets a quick submission hold on, debatably and forces Antonio Cesaro to tap out. Fans were miffed. Cena then puts Orton into a hold as the Wyatt's black out the arena. All three are in the chamber, unexplainedly as they go for Cena. Cena suffers a mauling by the family as Bray plants the kiss of Sister Abigail to Cena. The crowd appreciate with "Thank You Wyatts!"

Orton quickly covers John Cena in a weak showing as champion to protect Cena taking the action down to two. Either Bryan or Orton will win the title. Kane tells the Wyatt's to leave. As Kane checks on Cena being helped out the door, Bryan launches to Kane, as Orton quickly regains control from the advantage. Bryan gets the better of Orton with running YES! kicks to crowd entrustment. Two fall follows a strong suplex from the top on Orton. Bryan scales the corner post again, which Orton halts with a jab. Orton smacks the DDT from the ropes at the turnbuckle. Orton readies himself on the ground stomping as Bryan knocked a knee on Orton where Michael Cole screams "Bryan's going to Wrestlemania!" Kane stops the referee count as Randy Orton smacks Daniel Bryan with the RKO. Bryan kicks out at two to stay in the fight. Offering the WWE Universe hope, Bryan was kicked by Kane again as Randy Orton followed a swift RKO to cover Daniel Bryan for a three fall and raise the WWE World Heavyweight Championship once more.

WWE showed close ups of the WWE Universe fans dismayed with the result. What fans fail to understand is that WWE are sending their message. With so many spoilers and idiocy from online silliness WWE cannot and are unwilling to accept fans' points of view. This was clearly sent with the finishing angle on Bryan, as well as possibly removing Christian from the bout. They want fans to learn the lesson. Once agreed, the product could become better without too many smarks around thinking they know how WWE are going to do something with spoilers costing the show forcing it to change direction.

PPV Rating - 7/10

Men/Women of their matches - Jack Swagger, Jimmy Uso, Darren Young, Seth Rollins, AJ, Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro

Man/Woman of the PPV - The Wyatt Family

Pre-Show

Goldust and Cody Rhodes defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel in a standard tag match to kick off the interest of the Chamber card. Axel had Larry Henning with him at ringside. This may be a positive sign WWE are moving Axel and his name away to a better place. He is still being lumbered with useless stone Ryback until creative figure where to place him.

WWE felt compelled to change Cesaro's name. Now known as a surname only, Antonio was dropped by WWE's head office because they feel the name Antonio was one that was weak. Yet every superstar and human being has a forename. Obscure WWE logic always threatens a career opportunity. Cesaro has made the name Antonio strong. It's also his WWE identity. WWE need to add it back pronto in order to avoid a long term backlash. Fans do not accept the name change either and still call him Antonio. The longer WWE abstain, the longer they will look the fool. Though defiance is something the John Cena project has evolved into today, with mixed results. The name Antonio has also been linked to and strong in theoretical areas and philosophers. Hmmm. Interesting.

The title chamber itself was a strong and interesting fight to watch. Even those disliked by fans were watchable in this battle, a key imperative for WWE to have with six stars it requires in different camps. WWE could bother to re elevate Christian to a decent level to keep on the sidelines, help train others and interest fans for ticket sales. Though WWE don't get his appeal, Christian has that in part and something fans want to spend time on. With a child recently born and serious about his career stalled in part, Christian is serious about a WWE future.

Returning to the ring in his first real match after winning the Royal Rumble mega match, The Animal hammered past Alberto Del Rio as expected. They went for eight minutes as Batista held strong levels of power as well as helping Del Rio retain his profile in the loss. Rio gave Batista a helping hand too, which is a sign of strong match portrayal and future support. They had a competent battle for the short run through.

The tag titles will be seen as the DX continuation for Triple H's fun filled moment on screen. Unable at this time to participate, Hunter's fan club in which "no one else can join" is seen as pointless. Despite the fact both guys can work well still, fans are past the nostalgia stage and politely decline their involvement in such strong storylines for a title run that is just for record books and no development overall.

Swagger was boring and gave no real interest. Langston was above him because Swagger was so lowly. Neither have really shone, but, as WWE hope for, Langston is still a fan favourite, for now at least. Care and attention to detail will benefit a longer role over time. As a rushed prospect the effect is taking its toll on Big E.'s character interest.

Darren Young and Titus' collision was short and empty, but did show a level of skill involved. A long think on the drawing board will benefit. However, as noted previously, Young provided a bearable battle.

AJ's title reign has always been uneventful. The reminder of the title holding and pointless reign does her no favours. Though her point of "no competition" is true. How sad that in 2014, this is a shining reality of the female division. People need skilled workers not girl's next door with model attributes. No competition also highlights AJ's title reign with such accessory is regarded as highly empty of any contest.

The Shield and The Wyatt's was the hottest match of the evening for fans. Delivering skill, spots, fun and frenzy, the six men can be proud of this corker.

Overall, the chamber card was a watchable event without too much strain to get through the show. When a PPV flows well, fans will be able to engage whilst respecting those on opposing sides as part of a business understanding. When it is not a legitimate partnership, fans will become distant, even if they do part with cash now and then and possibly, forever.

WWE Survivor Series 2013

Survivor Series 2013

Live on pay per view on Sunday November 24th from Boston, Massachusetts from the TD Garden would WWE be able to present a card filled with intrigue, passion and excitement? Would Survivor Series begin, end or add dramatic tension to feuds in the company? Or would every question be a rhetorical one?

Triple H and wife Stephanie McMahon opened the show with a brief introduction of two minutes. Starting off is a five on five traditional Survivors match. Was a minor blip introduction that added nothing to the show necessary? Stephanie smiled in true happy chick fashion. Isn't she supposed to be a mischievous witch?

5 on 5 Tag Team Elimination
Rey Mysterio, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Goldust and Cody Rhodes Vs Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro w/ Zeb Colter, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins

With the deafening mash up of atrocious Rhodes Brothers music over, Zeb Colter asked for his team music to stop leading to a vicious rant instead. Slating Boston for its Tea Party politics and the audiences' lack of attention span more interested in twerking and tweeting then saw a shameless Cody Rhodes begin an atrocious rear out twerk as Goldust backtracked away in horror. Stupidities over, The Shield enter to get the match underway.

Rhodes and Ambrose begin the lock up. Ambrose sold tremendously for Rhodes during Cody's sloppy exchanges. Rhodes got a cheap fall up on Dean Ambrose just moments later. Ambrose was in the match for roughly three minutes. Yes, Dean Ambrose is eliminated. Everyone soon gets involved, with The Uso's launching over to the outside taking out everyone. Rhodes heads back in as Rollins takes charge. Goldust gains a tag to battle the second shielder. Cesaro joins the fray. Swagger tags in seconds later. Cesaro rejoins. I wonder who will get swung? Swagger returns. Cesaro gut stomp leapfrogs over Swagger onto Goldust then working a submissive headlock on Goldie. 'Dust reverses control with DDT momentum. Cesaro's strength impresses with a gut wrench inverted flip backbreaker to the front. Swagger countered as Goldie tags in a returning from injury Rey Mysterio. Rey does the usual comeback routine with set up for 619 connected. Uso tagged in with superkick. Jey Uso takes a tag and drops top rope splash for a three fall pin to eliminate Jack Swagger. Cesaro comes back in and delivers huge uppercut prowess. That should have got three but took two. The super Cesaro swing came next. Jimmy charges in and gets caught as Cesaro swings Jimmy round again. The crowd count along for a twenty strong rotation. Rhodes sneaks in to catch a quick roll up and Antonio Cesaro instantly become eliminated. That wasn't daft at all.

After corner debate, Reigns enters the match. Rhodes tags an Uso as Reigns is overworked as the second Uso is in. Reigns hits a hard jaw elbow. Rollins enters and works over the Uso in question. Maybe they can wear their names on the back of their tights or something. They need something distinctive, for sure. Both Shielders could not fight the Uso's who switched one another with tags and dropped down Reigns. It's good to see equal standing, but The Shield have been somewhat lacking in this one. Reigns charges a spear as Jimmy Uso is gone. Ring announcer Justin Roberts announced Jey Uso instead. Michael Cole corrected. Rollins worked over by Rhodes in quick takeover. Reigns then hit a massive spear on Cody Rhodes to send him off to the showers to twerk for Cesaro, presumably. Rollins runs an impressive foot stomp on the head of Uso number two. Jey Uso is out of there. Aerial aces Rey and Seth get the pace going. Mysterio gave a hard kick to Rollins head in a minimal mode of action which highlighted good entry from Mysterio. He looked good for partial entry. Reigns lifted and slide threw Rey out of the bottom rope to outside hard and beautifully.  Mysterio reached the ring at a nine count. Reigns flew into the post missing scampy Rey Rey. Rollins charges in on tag to remove Goldie off apron and lift Rey who got a cheeky rollup and eliminated Seth Rollins. It wasn't believable for comeback kid Mysterio. Livid, Rollins hammered Rey with Reigns.

Rey was caught from a baseball slide under Reigns to smash an enziguri on Roman. Creating distance Rey tags Goldie in. Reigns makes schoolboy error bedding down to catch Goldust on a rope run only to get the Goldie, hand smacked onto Reigns. Followed by ten punch turnbuckle attack. Goldust takes two fall only. The two weigh each other up as running bulldog from Goldust missed as Reigns hits the spear to eliminate Goldust. Rey launches top attack, caught on shoulder, reversing Reigns into the 619 rope position. Rey charges at Reigns who gets up and spears Rey Mysterio down to the mat to eliminate him and win the match. Roman Reigns eliminated four of the opposite team as the announce booth inform us. WWE wanted Reigns to go higher up the list. This one's been earmarked.

After chatting with hubby Tripper and Kane, Randy popped in for a chat with Steph and The Authority. Instantly ignored, Orton wanted to check his demands for the evening would be met. Trips was a little confused and disgruntled with Randall.

Intercontinental Championship
Curtis Axel Vs Big E. Langston (c)

If you missed the pre Survivor Series Raw, Big E. Langston won the IC title from Axel in an aggressively bungled bout, last week.

WWE talked up the significance of the Intercontinental title as Axel and Langston faced one another. The pair lack credibility. After a lot of lock ups and absurd grunts, Big E stands tall from Axel's technical arm working. In a flash, Axel's hard work is redundant. Axel and Big E run the ropes where Bigster uses two leapfrog on the spot jumps with a hard take down after. Big E needs to slow down and conserve frugal momentum. Vanilla fighter Axel runs off the outside rope with a flying clothesline after Big E was stationed outside.

Chants of "You can't wrestle" plagued the arena as Axel worked down Langston. The direction of the chants were unclear to who or if indeed both were applied to.

Muscle man Big E takes control with a few body blows and run splash down onto Axel's almost broke back. Axel hooked a two fall Fisherman's suplex. The pair do more elbowing. Langston catches a walking Axel into a Big Ending as Big E. Langston defeats Curtis Axel to lift the Intercontinental championship again.

Renee Young has snuck into the ring to interview Big E. Big E said he "didn't want to pander to the audience in Boston" after mentioning Boston for a cheap pop. He compared his win to the Boston Red Sox winning the championships. I would compare that god awful segment to when Ezekiel Jackson was interviewed when he won the IC title. Jackson lost the title soon after in months of no importance.

AJ and Tamina had a chat with the gals Kaitlyn, Alicia Fox, Aksana, Rosa Mendes and Summer Rae backstage. AJ plugged tele show Total Divas which was not interested in these spare divas. "Start your own show by stealing this one tonight" AJ adds before heading off. Yes. Kaitlyn is a wicked diva now. Yet once again gave a friendly 'poor me' performance.

7 on 7 Divas Elimination
Natalya, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Naomi, Cameron, JoJo and Eva Marie Vs AJ, Tamina, Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox, Aksana, Summer Rae and Kaitlyn

Total Divas
Alicia Fox and Naomi begin the match up. Fans are a little apathetic of sitting through seven divas used so underwhelmingly. Naomi's drop down of Fox from top turnbuckle was dreadful as Alicia Fox waited before being eliminated. Rosa comes in as Cameron double teams with Naomi to shake their bodies with a split leg double team. It got a two fall. Cameron ran into Rosa, missing and clumsily hitting her head on the turnbuckle pad allowing Rosa Mendes to eliminate Cameron as she circles around in joy. Unbeknownst to Rosa Mendes, Brie is behind her and hits her for the elimination. Summer Rae comes in and does her ridiculous dance moves as Brie does the Worm. Summer Rae was eliminated with ease.

WWE are said to be high on her and Eva Marie. Eva Marie, a lovely lady and fan favourite was instantly booed to hell upon entering and sparked extreme "You Can't Wrestle" chants with such ferocity as Kaitlyn quickly backbreaked and pinned Eva Marie. That was quick. Fans cheered. Naomi came in to show off moves and was dropped by Katy-lyn. Brie charges into Kaitlyn and gets better of her with missile dropkick for a three count elimination. AJ cannot contain hilarity in laughter as Kailtyn was pinned. Aksana hits a powerful back slam on Brie after some AJ knees to the back. Shock horror as WWE favourite Brie Bella is eliminated. Are WWE listening to fans again? Or just 'mixing it up?' Nikki enters to have a go and eliminates Aksana.

Dropping like flies, Tamina gears up. Dominant headbutts and a clothesline taking off Nattie from the apron follow. Tamina impressively works her foot holds on Nikki. JoJo offers a tag as Nikki is sceptical to accept the novice with no in ring talent experience. JoJo squares up to Tamina in the newbie's first in ring debut with Tamina, who tossed her back like a rag doll. Weakling JoJo gets her feet up to cheers from the crowd as Tamina almost gets cheaply pinned. Fans cheer once more for the underdog. Tamina wraps it up with a crushing backbreaker. AJ receives the tag to pin a laid out JoJo. Natalya enters as Tamina heads in. Nikki Bella is nowhere to be seen.

The pair finally go at it. Tammy smacks her running body into Nat's head butt first to the corner. Great bodyslams from Tamina, climbing to the top rope. Tamina launches an excellent highflying Superfly, missing, as Natalya moved and locks in the devastating Sharpshooter. Tamina tapped out just before AJ ran in and broke the lock up a second too late. Tamina attempts to come back in as Nikki smashes her off the apron allowing Natalya to roll over AJ and lock in the sharpshooter for a submission and victory for Natalya and Nikki Bella. The match was throwaway, however only Tamina kept the dominance and appeal throughout.

Randy runs into referee for the main event match Charles Robinson backstage. He asked Charles to call the match down the middle, ignoring their friendship. Asking if he got what he was saying, company man Robinson told Rand he would do whatever The Authority said.

On the panel show with WWE lovely Josh Mathews was bestselling author Mick Foley, multiple champ Booker T and the ignorant sponge 'only back to collect a paycheck' egotist Bret Hart.

Laugh a minute Ryback interrupted to pick a cheap fight with the "old timers." Simple solution here. Fire Ryback. The meathead offered an open challenge. Good Lord. Usually jobbers do this, don't they? Is that rhetorical?

The challenge was answered.

Open Challenge
Ryback Vs Mark Henry

Mark Henry returned as an honourable man. Wasn't this done before? This is your toilet break guys. Instantly the pair locked up and pushed one another back. It was the standard muscle meathead mash up. Push. Stop. Gather breath. Hit one move. Pause. Walk around. Stop. Lie on ground. Occasional foot stomp. Suplex. "Goldberg!" Ryback runs into the post and whines comically. "Ahhhhhhhhh!" Henry did a headbutt. Then he ran a headbutt on the ground on all fours. How sad. What a quality match, here. As much a classic as Undertaker, Rock or Shawn Michael matches, huh?

Henry did a shoulder block again. Then a clothesline again. Then a backbreaker again. "You can't wrestle!" as Henry stands watching Ryback. Ryback gets a spinebuster and pulls his man boobs out in Neanderthal fashion. He ran into a stationary Henry who picked up and dropped a slam. Mark Henry beat Ryback with a pinfall. It was entirely meaningless. Henry is next in line to get a WWE title shot, again.

Were back with Joshie now. "Be careful what you wish for" Booker T adds standing next to humdrum Bret Hart, who now chips in on an Alberto Del Rio evaluation. Foley follows. Booker T was the only valuable asset here, along with dependable sweetie Josh Mathews. Brock was nowhere in sight tonight.

World Heavyweight Championship
Alberto Del Rio Vs John Cena (c)

Boston's own and the face of the WWE, World Champion, John Cena began hugging Rio, in hold, landing on the apron. In armlock Rio was loudly heard informing Cena of instructions how to work the match. That's right. The World Champion, face of the company and hometown hero, no less, could not have figured out what to do to give a good match. The instructions become even louder every takedown into the arm lock.

Cena blocked an action from being hurled into the steel steps only to be flung into the other corner steps instead. Cena decided to run into them and visibly pushed the steps away. Disgraceful.

Cena ran into a clothesline. Cena jump up dropkicks after Rio sits atop the turnbuckle to drop down on Cena. Cena booed loudly as he backbreaks Rio in centre position. Rio halts the progress with a counter.

Rio beats a seven count. Cena swiftly does the five knuckle shuffle clearly seen hastily missing the knuckle hitting Rio nowhere near connection anywhere, in a shameful process of botchdom. Cena tornado DDT's Rio as he purposely walks into Cena's path to allow him to do so. Cena is insanely weak as a performer but this may just be his worst in many times. Rio whacks an enziguri. Cena's in ring behaviour is simply sloppy and inexcusable. The crowd's frustration would not be ignored any longer. The "Cena Sucks!" chants were twice as loud and aggressive to explain the upset of performance on offer. Some countered with mild Cena bias, as they often do. The point however, can no longer be ignored. It's a serious one WWE need to address. Fans will not take much more.

Cena reversed the cross arm breaker into an STF. Rio, after a long hold on, touched the rope with a finger. That's all it takes to break. Cena didn't lock the arms on at all, once again. Rio hit a kick and two fall. Cena took a quick neckbreaker out of nowhere for a tense two fall.

Cena climbs the turnbuckle again to softly land onto Rio. Locked in an armbreaker Cena comically says "Oh, Oh" until picking up as super strength kicked in on Rio, in hold, once more to hurl him off so tediously. Cena reversed Rio into a quick, unseen Attitude Adjustment to grab a three fall on Alberto Del Rio as John Cena easily raises the World title.

Cena chose to be obnoxious once again and hold the World title in front of centre row disagreement with a sea of signs proclaiming disappointment.

Santino and R-Truth debated who would win Money in the Bank. They chose to play and plug the new merchandise as Los Matadores and Fandango make appearances. In walks blast from the past John Laurinaitis??????? "People Power!"

Tag Team
Daniel Bryan and CM Punk Vs Erick Rowan and Luke Harper w/ Bray Wyatt

The dream team simultaneously disrobe their tees like a pair of teasing backyard strippers. Something for everyone.

Punk gives Rowan good opportunity and standing in match action as Bryan falls to beastly Rowan seeking retribution. A powerful double suplex from Rowan on both was enjoyable. Both sweet middle men Bryan and Punk return a good drop of Rowan. Harper enters to a flattened Punk who retaliates with a gut kick and tag of partner. The YES! kicks happen as Bryan and Punk ready themselves. The crowd mention "Ooohh" chants a little too early. Steady yourselves. Punk and Bryan then follow up a good double teaming until foiled by a hard clothesline of Rowan on Punk.

Later moments, Bryan headed up top, to powerbomb which could not complete as Harper stopped and lifted Bryan to drop him instead. Punk attempts to enter as Rowan hurls Punk out. Rowan running splash grabs a two fall. Bryan yells in pain as Rowan drops hard slams on Danny Boy. Both made a great job. Punk was smashed off with a knee before re-entering. Harper pounds Bryan with hard, short moves, halting momentum. Harper hits an impressive back flip backbreaker on Bryan. Cutesy Punk in his yellow pants and smooth hair gains the tag. Dainty Punk climbs atop the turnbuckle, unfortunately double bagging his tights, to drop down hard on Harper.

Punk later attempted to rally fan support in a rather tedious display. Punk seizes and opportunity to climb the turnbuckle and jump over onto Bray Wyatt at ringside, with Rowan caught with them. Punk returns inside to deal with Harper, dropping a neckbreaker. Punk gets an elbow drop from the top for a two fall. Rowan halts a GTS on Harper as Bryan charges in and knees Rowan down. Punk avoids a clothesline and smashes the GTS on Luke Harper to gain the three fall for CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.

WWE Championship
Randy Orton (c) Vs Big Show

It was predictably a slow progression as is always the case in Big Show/Mark Henry/Ryback/Sheamus matches. Big Show swung a clothesline and sent Orton to the outside for a mesmerising start to the first action in the WWE title match. Show then works Orton in the corner. Later Randy returns control with a dropkick.

Ten minutes in and crowd chants "this is boring" and "we want Bryan."

Big Show barges Orton with a shoulder block to outside chase. Flung into them, Cena pushes steps as Orton, lands into them. Take note.

Orton grabs Show for the DDT off the top turnbuckle rope as he pokes his tongue then he flexes. Randilicious!

Big Show then randomly gets a chokeslam for a two fall.

Flexi Orton.
Every chick wants him.
E
very man wants to be him,
and every man wants to be *n him.
(Insert appropriate vowel)
Oh no! Referee Charles Robinson got knocked down in the muddle. Big Show walks to position as Orton attempts a chair whack. Orton flung over barricade as Show chops and collects. Orton jabs back into the game trying for a DDT as Show smacks a KO punch. He could not have done that at the start of the match.

Show hauls Orton by the thighs into the match. Triple H's music hits on the titantron as he and The Authority appear. Orton plants a huge RKO on a distracted Show. Orton kicked the punt into Big Show's skull as Show moved back and botched the authenticity. Randy Orton soon covered for the three fall to retain the title.

Steph and Hunter applaud Randall as Orton cradles the WWE title twenty minutes before the closing of PPV.

As predicted John Cena arrives and raises the World title. Cena sandwiches himself between Steph and HHH before squaring up with Orton in the ring. World Champ faces WWE champ. Hmm... We previously write about what was coming. The plan for Wrestlemania unification possibility may happen with the heavyweight titles. It shouldn't. We shall see how that one goes. Both raised their titles to the air and did nothing as the PPV drew to a close. Anticlimactic.

PPV Rating - 3/10

Men/Women of their matches - Seth Rollins, Curtis Axel, Tamina, Ryback, Alberto Del Rio, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton

Man/Woman of the PPV - Tamina

For one of WWE's Big 4 PPV's, it was another massive miss. The name is never the problem, but WWE's lack of star names, unique booking and tender thought process to making a positive for what stock they have. Fans and critics are starting to believe they simply don't have what it takes for a future of wrestling psychology in running the show any longer. That's not the best position to be in, ever.

Tamina was the only stronghold of the PPV, alongside Roman Reigns, yet Reigns was not very impressive in what should have been much more eventful for his sole survival boost to main event levelling up. Tamina's appearance in a dreadful diva's destruction outshone everyone on the card with her actions, poise and presentation backed up with sheer aggression and precise skill on offer. Less is more. Obviously, fans require much more.

Seth Rollins was the WWE workhorse that continually impresses and is yet viewed as the lowest factor WWE have. The man should be the slow, secret uprising that no one sees coming instead of being left to rot as WWE are eventually planning in a year's time. Slow burner, keep on it. Build the process tenderly.

Mysterio's return was okay but nothing impressive and didn't boost his or Survivor Series as a grand event.

John Cena lied on the ground so long after Rio did all the work and then followed instructions. The man cannot work and though WWE will, obviously book him, it needs to focus on not ruining all the other talent it has to protect one image alone. They should have vulnerability with a little force in parts between. WWE only has Orton and Cena and the impending title/face of the WWE collision seen a mile off by us, first expressed in this previous article - Cena/Orton Heavyweight title Unifications? This is further evidence where WWE need to think of all avenues than just one man controlling the company.

Randy Orton worked tremendously once again, but failed to capture interest with the lummox Big Show.

JoJo as fan favourite cheered was only due to one factor. She was the underdog who had not been overly hyped and tested conformity. Plain, inexperienced and only famous for sleeping with Randy Orton as soon as his wife divorced him is going to be costly for the nineteen year old if she does not remain professional.

Layla has been absent from action for roughly six months and hasn't been heard off after making a comment that irked WWE. No one except us picked up on it. The writing could be on the wall for Layla. WWE have a ER policy with its females. In TV drama ER, they would release any female before they reach 40. Layla is 36. She's annoyed people up top. Oooh, Err.

Axel and Langston are as bad as one another. WWE want more muscle men, but its failure to have any that are good is a problem. They are all so generic and bland. Fans greet them with indecision. The action is sloppy and ridiculously unbelievable.

Obnoxious globe trotter Bret Hart on the star panel was an oversight. Washed up and only there for a paycheck, Hart disgraced himself and added no flair to the show. When he isn't busy flying around the world for pop up appearances then back to the US Hart should consider being a professional. Ignorance is not beneficial. Why not give a chance to prove us wrong and make it up? Can you repent?

Ryback, another mass liability that could injure anyone again, should be erased off the pencil to paper card. There is literally nothing he can do. Get out as soon as you can, he doesn't offer the product or fans anything, and he won't be the golden ticket that books Goldberg to WWE.

Punk/Bryan against The Wyatt family is the new feud to behold. However, this has potential to be either huge, or lukewarm in seconds. All did a capable job but longevity needs to be reassured in strategic management of the program on offer. You can only get so many words from Max Waltham before you run out of steam. I can keep going. Can you sell it? Like, realllllllly selllllll itttttt?

Simply put, Survivor Series was yet 'just another PPV' of lost matches and held no interest. It was one of its worst of its time and that's going through a lot. Kofi Kingston even turned into a disobedient man slapping obnoxious The Miz in the face on the pre-show rather than on the main show. Kofi's rise is on the cards if WWE really strive harder for the guy who can make the transition we spoke of a year ago. Give the audience something from the washout that is simply struggling to survive. Go on now go. Walk out the door... You're Welcome!
